Drupal has changed. Has the story people find about Drupal changed with it?

A Reddit question asked what we'd show someone whose last experience with Drupal was five or ten years ago. My answer was seven links.

That bothered me.

Competitors, search engines, AI assistants, and sometimes our own ecosystem are already answering “Why Drupal?” Advocacy matters, but it can't carry the whole burden of market positioning.

The community should fight for Drupal. Drupal also needs to fight for its place in the market.

I use multiple Slack workspaces every day, and I wanted Claude to help me work across them.

Switching meant disconnecting one workspace, connecting another, and reauthorizing. Then repeating it when I needed to switch back.

I got two connected at the same time. Now I can scan both and post to either without going through the connection setup again.

I wrote about what worked, what didn’t, and the setting that finally made the second connection usable. The steps and configuration are in the article:

I had a deadline for my life.

It was 28.

If I didn't own a house and have a "stable" career by then, I had decided I wouldn't have children.

Nobody gave me that deadline. Somewhere along the way, I had simply absorbed it.

Career → financial stability → house → children

Recently, seeing another reference to Forbes 30 Under 30 made me think about that decision again.

Why do we treat accomplishing something early as more remarkable than accomplishing the same thing later?

And what happens when we turn those cultural timelines into rules for our own lives?

My life certainly didn't follow the workflow I had planned.

Neither did my career.

I've been thinking about the clocks we put on achievement, family, careers, and ourselves, and what happens when real life ignores the project plan entirely.

Every major software platform eventually deals with serious security vulnerabilities.

So when we're evaluating software, I don't think "Has this ever had a serious vulnerability?" tells us much.

What happens when one is found?

That's the question behind my latest piece. I look at the dangerous "patch gap" between disclosure and deployment, how Drupal handles coordinated security releases, and how Drupal Steward can provide another layer of protection while organizations get a critical patch into production.

Mashed sweet potato w/ sliced baby bell peppers, black beans, topped with two over medium eggs and a side of based 80MILLION KIMCHI.

Tip: stab then wrap a whole sweet potato and a paper towel, run underwater, squeeze, put in microwave safe bowl, loose lid, 5 minutes in the microwave, slice lengthwise and smash. Quick and tender every time!
