Imagine finding remnants of a massive WWII military base hiding in your local woods... 🪵🪖

That’s exactly what you’ll find in Adair Village, Oregon. While it's a quiet, beautiful town today, during World War Two, it was actually Oregon’s second-largest city! Over 45,000 soldiers trained right here at Camp Adair.

But that massive growth required a heavy sacrifice. The historic pioneer town of Wells was completely wiped out, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their family farms forever. From a Cold War radar base to a funny clerical error that gave the town its name, Adair Village has a history unlike anywhere else.

Have you ever visited Adair Village or spotted any of the old military foundations hiding in the Pacific Northwest landscape? Let us know in the comments! 👇
