NEW✨SMALL BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROGRAM! ✨

The Monahans Economic Development Corporation is excited to announce the launch of our new Small Business Growth & Sustainability Incentive Program! 🎉

Our local businesses are an important part of what makes Monahans and this program was created to help existing businesses grow, improve, and continue serving our community for years to come.

The program provides a 50% matching reimbursement grant, up to $10,000 per approved business, for eligible projects.

Funding may be used toward qualifying projects such as:
▫️ Business equipment and machinery
▫️ Commercial kitchen equipment
▫️ Retail fixtures and point-of-sale systems
▫️ HVAC, electrical, and plumbing improvements
▫️ Roof, structural, and foundation repairs
▫️ ADA and code compliance improvements
▫️ Health and safety improvements
▫️ Repairs necessary to pass inspections

More Facade Improvement Projects Approved👏🏽

The Monahans Economic Development Corporation is excited to announce that during a special board meeting earlier this month, the MEDC approved Facade Improvement Program applications for Sawyer Insurance and Josie's Income Tax LLC!

These projects represent another step forward in enhancing the appearance of our local business community and encouraging continued investment in Monahans. We are excited to partner with both businesses as they make improvements to their properties and contribute to the beautification of our city.

The MEDC Facade Improvement Program is designed to help local businesses improve the appearance of their buildings, creating a more attractive environment for residents, visitors, and future investment.

Facade Improvement Program Complete 🎉

The Monahans Economic Development Corporation is excited to congratulate Texas Joe’s Coffee on the successful completion of their improvements through the MEDC Facade Improvement Program! ☕👏

Located at 111 East 8th Street, Texas Joe’s Coffee has transformed the exterior of their building with improvements that include:

✔️ New signage
✔️ New awnings
✔️ New door and windows
✔️ Stucco work
✔️ Masonry improvements
✔️ Asphalt enhancements

What was once an aging building has been transformed into an attractive new space that will soon welcome customers. We are proud to partner with Texas Joe’s Coffee in this investment and see a vacant property brought back to life.

Property Under Contract 🏗️

The Monahans Economic Development Corporation is happy to announce that the property located at 721 South Main Street is now under contract with Paso Construction!

As part of this investment, Paso Construction will be developing a new shopping center, bringing additional commercial opportunities to our community. This project represents another step forward in the continued growth and development of Monahans, creating new opportunities for businesses, attracting future investment, and enhancing the shopping experience for our residents and visitors.

Retail Recruitment Update for Monahans 📈

Aaron Farmer, President of The Retail Coach, gave a presentation to provided an update on retail recruitment efforts in Monahans, discussed current retail and economic trends, and shared data reflecting the performance and status of our existing businesses. These insights help the MEDC better understand our community’s retail landscape while identifying opportunities to recruit new businesses and support the continued success of those already serving Monahans.

Collaborating with The Retail Coach is a continued effort to market Monahans, connect with prospective retailers, and provide data-driven strategies that help strengthen our local economy.
