It's been four months since hurricane Helene wreaked havoc in the mountains of Western North Carolina, and the need of the communities affected by this disaster is still great. Here at Zebra Recovery we're not a, "I'm sure someone else will get to it" kind of crew. We are a team of people who are willing to jump in and do our part to help wherever possible. We saw a need, and with the help of Appalachian Disaster Coalition we are happy to be in a position to meet that need. In partnering with them this last week we have been able to feed more than 5,000 individual meals to the people of Burnsville, NC.

But our work isn’t done. Recovery takes time, and we’re committed to standing with this community every step of the way. No matter the challenge—come Helene or high water—we’ll continue to help families get back on their feet and rebuild stronger than ever.

The men and women of Zebra have spent months and years making readiness a way of life. It is a relentless effort to be more prepared, more equipped, more capable, more agile.
Tonight, with sites going up across three states and strike teams staged to move as soon as the worst of the storm goes by, the time for making ready has passed.
All we can do now is wait to see what kind of devastation will leave in her wake, and pray for the people in her path.
We are more grateful than ever to have the opportunity to support our clients and friends as they prepare to serve the communities that will suffer most from this monster storm.
To our teammates and all of the linemen, first responders, storm chasers, and support personnel who are driving in while everyone else is running out, thank you for what you're doing and please stay safe out there!

Just a few more things left to pack up before the last of our team heads home. They've earned some well-deserved rest after spending the last couple of weeks helping . One of the best parts of what we do is that we always get to see life returning to normal by the time we leave. We can't wait to be back for a visit, but next time hopefully it's for RODEOHOUSTON or to catch a Houston Astros game!

That's a wrap on !
Up before the sun to bid farewell to hundreds of dedicated as they start their journeys back to points all over this great nation and even as far away as the frozen north. Something tells us the who came to help won't be sad to leave this heat behind!
It's been our pleasure to help keep these crews on the lines and we're happy to send them home with clean clothes, full bellies. and a smile.
Now we start the teardown and reset process so we are when we're needed!
