Fine is not the same as ready. πŸ‘€

And there's a very big difference between a client who is satisfied and a client who is genuinely prepared to say yes again at renewal time.

This week's LinkedIn newsletter (link to article in the comments) gets into exactly that. Including the three tiers every Client Success Professional lands in when it comes to renewal readiness. πŸ’›

The Renewal Pro. The Well-Meaning Winger. The Reactive Responder.

Which one are you? Take the free Renewal Readiness Quiz and find out. Takes less than five minutes. Link in the comments! πŸ™Œ

Quick question. πŸ‘€

When was the last time you walked into a renewal conversation feeling actually prepared? Not hoping for the best. Actually prepared.

If you had to think about it for more than two seconds that answer tells you something. πŸ’›

I built something for exactly that moment. And it's completely free.

The Renewal Readiness Quiz is live right now. Eight questions. Less than five minutes. And at the end you get a personalized result that tells you exactly where you stand and what to work on first. 😊

Take it. Share it with someone who needs it. And drop your result in the comments. I'd love to know where you landed! πŸ’›

Sales sells an outcome. Implementation delivers a configuration. CS inherits the difference. πŸ‘€

This line came out of a conversation with Chris Cusano and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. Thank you Chris for putting language to something so many of us have felt but couldn't quite say out loud. πŸ’›

There's no villain in this story. That's exactly why the problem never gets fixed.

Everybody did their job correctly. And yet there you are. Inheriting a gap between what the client thought they were getting and what was actually delivered. Managing expectations that were set before you ever entered the room. πŸ˜”

This is one of the most painful and most unspoken realities of working in Client Success.

But here's what I want you to know. πŸ’›

The fact that you're still showing up and still caring is not weakness. It's everything that makes this profession matter.

I'm not just teaching Client Success Professionals better processes. I'm teaching relationship driven people how to speak the language of a revenue driven room without losing who they are in the process.

Have you ever inherited a client situation that was never yours to own? Tell me about it in the comments. πŸ™Œ

My third article just went live with Entreprenista and this one hits close to home. πŸ’›

It's called The Clients You Only Talk to When Something's Wrong.

If you work in client success or manage client relationships in any capacity, you already know this feeling. You're always reacting. Always on the back foot. And somewhere along the way clients start associating you with problems instead of value.

This article is about what it actually looks like to break that cycle. And I'm really proud of it.

As an E-Expert with the Entreprenista League I'm so grateful for the platform to share this message with the people who need it most. πŸ™Œ

You know that feeling when something you built with your own hands finally becomes real? πŸ™Œ

The hard copy of the Cancellation Clarity Workbook arrived and I am genuinely still sitting with this moment. πŸ’›

I built this because I lived it. Every page came from real moments in my own career when I wished someone had handed me a framework for the hardest client conversations I ever had to navigate.

Nobody did. So I built one. πŸ“–

Available right now on Am@zon at the introductory price of $14.99.

Drop "CLARITY" in the comments and I'll send you the link! πŸ™Œ

When something goes wrong in a client relationship do you immediately start blaming yourself? Your team? Your clients? πŸ‘€

I want to stop you right there. πŸ’›

Because after nearly two decades in client facing roles I know this. The exhaustion is real. But the story you're telling yourself about why it's happening is almost certainly wrong.

It's not a people problem. It's a design problem.

This week I went live with Katrina Scarlett and she said something that completely reframed the way I think about client friction. This week's newsletter goes deep into exactly what that means and what you can do about it right now. πŸŽ™οΈ

Katrina told a story in our conversation yesterday that I genuinely was not ready for. πŸ‘€

A client sent constructive feedback about a program she was in. Not a complaint. Not a request for anything. Just kind helpful feedback.

The team member had been told to do whatever it takes to keep the client happy.

So they gave her a $7,000 refund on the spot. 😳

That is what chasing client happiness looks like in practice. And nobody in that story was even trying to do the wrong thing.

Doing whatever it takes to keep someone happy is not the same as building a true client partnership. πŸ’›

Watch this clip. And then go watch the full replay because this conversation was full of moments just like it. Link in the comments! πŸ™Œ

Tomorrow is the day and you don't want to miss this one. πŸ‘€

Wednesday August 26th at 3 PM EST I'm going live on LinkedIn with Katrina Scarlett, founder of Scarlett and Co. and a Client Experience Strategist who is going to completely shift the way you think about the relationships you're building with your clients. πŸŽ™οΈ

If you've ever felt like you spend more time firefighting than actually building something intentional with your clients this conversation was made for you. πŸ’›

We're getting into why most client experience problems are design problems not people problems. And what you can actually do about it starting right now.

Tomorrow. August 26th. 3 PM EST on LinkedIn.

This week has my whole heart. πŸ’›

A LinkedIn Live with the incredible Katrina Scarlett on Wednesday. A community getting closer to its launch. And a season of building that is finally starting to show its results. 😊

A little over a year ago I started Client Journey Advisors with a mission and a whole lot of faith. And right now I'm just really grateful for every single person who has shown up and said this work matters. πŸ’›

If your season feels slow right now just know it compounds. Keep going. πŸ™Œ
