A life saved.

I would like to congratulate and thank our installation team for a job well done!

One of our clients had a guest visiting for a few days, and sleeping in the guest room above the garage. He stared his car in the garage and left it running for sometime before heading out for the night. After pulling the car out he immediately close the overhead door behind him trapping the carbon monoxide in the garage. Overtime the carbon monoxide seeped through the ceiling and into the bedroom area where the gust was sleeping. The carbon monoxide levels continue to rise until the carbon monoxide detector in the bedroom was triggered. when the firemen arrived with their test equipment they told the client that the carbon monoxide was at a very high level and he was very lucky the system alerted them. This instance turned out well, but it could’ve gone very wrong.

Carbon monoxide is a very dangerous gas. It’s odorless tasteless and worst of all it makes you sleepy. It will build up in your bloodstream overtime and eventually cause death. 

If you don’t have a carbon monoxide detector in your home, it’s important to install them outside of sleeping areas, and on each level of your home. If you have a bedroom near or above a garage, it’s important to also install one in that bedroom.
