Failed arena under complete tear down and rebuild. Not one of ours. A lot could have been done different in the original...

Failed arena under complete tear down and rebuild. Not one of ours. A lot could have been done different in the original build to make it successful. Too bad the subgrade was full of bull tallow. Couldn’t get the original base to compact after we stripped off the sand. Started digging into it and found all kinds of unsuitable soils beneath it. You could jump on it like a water bed. After stripping it all the way down and Geo Gridding it, then adding a total of 10” of stone to the top, we have it bridged and is holding compaction. Laying the first layer of sand down now. What a shame. I hate to see hard earned money wasted.
