Employee Spotlight: Sam Smart
Sam Smart is our Sr. Help Desk and Dispatch team member, with us since March 2026. Raised in Georgia and now based in the Atlanta area, Sam brings a rare mix of discipline, heart, and humor to everything he does.
Before IT, Sam served as a Sergeant in the Space Force. He's fluent in Korean, was a nationally ranked engineering drawing student in high school, and has been told more than once he'd make a great voice actor.
Sam describes himself as an "extroverted introvert": "I work as an extrovert and live my life outside of work as an introvert. I'm happy to be quiet and forced to be loud." It tracks with his high school reputation as a "jock nerd" โ playing every sport he could, then spending his downtime with the nerds.
Why IT? "I stumbled into it, but I love it." Sam credits his dad, who worked in IT, for pointing him down this path.
His tech tip borrows from Sherlock Holmes: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
