Sometimes, we may not recognize what intimate partner violence looks like in our own relationships. Often, unhealthy patterns and behaviors can be difficult to identify, especially when they develop gradually over time.

This we want to take a moment to share a few important reminders about the different ways intimate partner violence can present itself and the impact it can have on our emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Please remember that you deserve to feel safe, valued, respected, and supported in your relationships. If you find yourself in an unhealthy or unsafe situation, you are not alone. There are resources, support systems, and professionals available to help you explore your options and take steps toward safety.

Awareness is the first step toward change, and help is always available. 💜

Domestic violence can look different in every household. While this specific cycle may not be present in every abusive relationship, understanding it can provide valuable insight into common patterns of abuse and help identify warning signs that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Did you know that up until this decade there was little to no research on adults with ADHD? Primarily because it was considered to be a diagnosis that mainly affected school-aged children. In previous years, most research shows that children with ADHD/ADD tend to grow out out of it prior to graduating high school. However, recent research by the CDC suggests that there are some teenagers and adults who are still carrying the traits associated with ADHD/ADD.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re taking this opportunity to bring greater attention to an issue that impacts individuals, families, and communities everywhere.

Let this serve as an important reminder: Love does not hurt. Love does not control. Love does not abuse.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, valued, and supported in their relationships. This month, we stand together to raise awareness, encourage healthy relationships, and remind survivors that their voices matter.

On this last of the month, we wanted to share a little insight about our children and teens. 💚

Let’s be honest—times have definitely changed since we were in elementary school, junior high, or high school! And unfortunately, that includes su***de rates and the mental health challenges our young people are facing today.

But here’s the good news: prevention is always an option. 🙌🏽 Early conversations, awareness, support, and simply being willing to listen can make a meaningful difference.

We hope these tips and tools are helpful as you support the children and teens in your life. 💚

And remember, you don’t have to navigate these concerns alone. For additional resources or support, give us a call at The Grace Space: (318) 593-1593.

We would love to listen. 🫶🏽
