This year’s holiday celebrations at GRI, besides honoring our people and showing our gratitude for another fortunate year, we are highlighting a campaign to help Raines’ Army. Raines’ Army is a foundation created by our close business associates, the Simonsens, in honor of their son/grandson, Raines, who passed away last year at age 3 from brain cancer that began in his eyes. Raines spent his short life going through many invasive treatments, but managed to spread sunshine wherever he went, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who met him. Raines’ Army is not only raising funding for critical pediatric brain, spine and eye cancer research, but also supporting pediatric patients at Duke Hospital by collecting books, toys, games, etc.

Today, we honored Leslie Maxtone-Graham! After dedicating 7 years of exemplary service to Geological Resources, Leslie is embarking on a well-deserved retirement from her role as our Administrative Assistant. She has been the cornerstone of GRI, the calm and reassuring voice that our clients first hear when they call in, the driving force behind the processing of our deliverables, and the silent hero ensuring the seamless operation of our administrative department. Leslie's presence will be dearly missed, and she will always hold a special place within the extended GRI family! We extend our warmest wishes to her for a retirement brimming with exciting adventures and peaceful relaxation!
