🚒🔥 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 2026! 🔥🚒

Today, crews from Monroe Township Fire District spent the morning at Monrovia Elementary School, teaching students about fire prevention and life safety as part of Fire Prevention Week! 👨‍🚒🚒

Our firefighters had a great time interacting with the students, sharing important fire safety tips, and helping our youngest community members learn how to stay safe in an emergency.

A special THANK YOU to our mutual aid partners from Gregg Township Fire Department and Morgan County EMS for joining us and helping make today’s event a success! 🤝

We also want to thank Monrovia Elementary School, its teachers, and staff for welcoming us into their school.

Fire prevention education is one of the most important things we do. Teaching children these lifesaving skills today can make a difference for years to come!

❤️ Protecting our community starts with educating our future!

🚨 MONROE TOWNSHIP FIRE DISTRICT — RUN VOLUME UPDATE 🚨

Our call volume continues to show just how quickly the demand for emergency services is growing in Monroe Township.

Through September 2026, our firefighters have responded to 683 calls for service.

📊 2026 Monthly Run Volume

* January — 81
* February — 62
* March — 73
* April — 88
* May — 56
* June — 90
* July — 80
* August — 82
* September — 71

That puts us at 683 runs through the end of September, compared with 611 runs during the same period in 2025 — an increase of approximately 11.8%.

The longer-term growth is even more significant. Monroe Township Fire District handled 450 total runs in all of 2020. By the end of September 2026, we had already responded to 233 more calls than we handled during the entire year of 2020.

As our community continues to grow, so does the demand placed on our firefighters, apparatus, equipment, and staffing. These numbers reinforce why we continue planning for the future of Monroe Township Fire District.

We are committed to making sure our department grows alongside the community and remains ready to answer the call — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Thank you to our firefighters for their continued dedication and to our community for its ongoing support.
