πŸš’ Fire Department Response Activity Update (2020–2026) πŸš’

Our department continues to see a steady increase in emergency response demand across our community.

From 2020 through 2025, total monthly call volumes have consistently risen year over year:

2020: 169 total calls (Jan–May)
2021: 210 total calls
2022: 200 total calls
2023: 241 total calls
2024: 245 total calls
2025: 293 total calls

In just the first five months of 2026, we have already responded to 361 calls, marking the highest activity level recorded in this period.

πŸ“Š 2026 Monthly Breakdown (Jan–May):
January: 82 | February: 62 | March: 73 | April: 88 | May: 56

This upward trend reflects both population growth and increasing service demands, and it highlights the continued dedication and readiness of our firefighters, EMS personnel, and dispatchers who respond day and night to protect our community.

We thank our residents for their ongoing support and encourage everyone to continue focusing on fire prevention, safety awareness, and emergency preparedness.

πŸ”₯ Stay safe. Stay prepared. We are always ready when you need us. πŸ”₯

Today, our Fire 1 & 2 students continued building their skills by focusing on Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Awareness and Operations training.

Participants worked through hands-on scenarios and practical exercises designed to strengthen their understanding of hazardous materials incidents, scene safety, risk assessment, and operational response procedures. These skills are a critical part of firefighter training and help prepare our students to safely and effectively respond to emergencies in their communities.

We are proud of the dedication and hard work our students continue to demonstrate throughout the program as they develop the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful fire service career.

The Monroe Township Fire District would like to extend our sincere appreciation to South Central REMC for approving our Operation Round Up grant.

This generous support will directly benefit our department by allowing us to replace our aging suction units and EMS bags. These upgrades will strengthen our ability to deliver efficient, high-quality emergency medical care to the community we serve.

We are grateful for South Central REMC’s continued investment in local public safety and for helping us ensure our crews are equipped with the tools they need when every second counts.
