Are you an experienced driver looking for a new opportunity? Shannon’s Trucking is excited to announce that we are hiring a Log Truck Driver to join our dedicated team!

Position: Log Truck Driver
Location: Northern California. Siskiyou County
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
🌲Safely operate log trucks to transport timber from logging sites to mills or designated locations
🌲Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance
🌲Secure loads according to safety regulations
🌲Maintain accurate logs and delivery records

Requirements:
🌲Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
🌲Experience operating log trucks or similar heavy vehicles preferred
🌲Strong commitment to safety
🌲Ability to work independently and as part of a team
🌲Physical ability to load/unload and secure cargo as needed

This is a reminder to slow down!!! This situation could have been a lot worse. This car passed our driver on a double yellow, you can see what happens next. Luckily our driver was able to slow down and the car didn’t come back into the road. This was completely avoidable. Trucks loaded are around 80,000 lbs and can’t stop really fast. Please be mindful when driving in winter conditions and slow down. Do your part and arrive to your destination safely.
