Supernova Doula’s famous Lactation cookies Soft, nourishing, and infused with intention 🤍✨

My lactation cookies are more than a treat… they’re functional nourishment for milk-making bodies.

Here’s what’s inside and why it matters:

✨ Oats — rich in beta-glucan, known to support prolactin (the hormone that helps make milk) + keeps energy steady
✨ Flaxseed — packed with omega-3s and phytoestrogens to gently support hormonal balance ✨ Cinnamon — helps balance blood sugar, adds warmth, and supports steady energy (a quiet but powerful addition)
✨ Brewer’s yeast — loaded with B vitamins + iron to replenish and support milk production
✨ Healthy fats (butter/coconut oil) — essential for healing, hormone support, and calorie-dense milk
✨ Natural sweetness — quick energy for depleted bodies doing round-the-clock work

These cookies aren’t magic… but they are supportive, intentional, and deeply nourishing.

Because milk supply isn’t just about production — it’s about rest, rhythm, hydration, and being cared for.

And sometimes, being handed a warm cookie… is part of that care.

Mother the mother. Always. 💫

FOR PARTNERS: READ THIS BEFORE YOU CALL HER “CRAZY.”

Her hormones just crashed.
Her body is healing.
Her brain is rewiring.
She is running on little to no sleep.

This is not the moment to criticize her.

This is the moment to step up.

🤍 Sit with her, don’t fix her
🤍 Protect her rest like it’s sacred
🤍 Feed her before you feed your opinions
🤍 Learn what postpartum actually does to the brain and body
🤍 Take over what you can without being asked
🤍 Speak gently—she will remember how you made her feel forever
🤍 If something feels off, help her get support—not shame her for it

Calling her “too much,” “dramatic,” or “crazy” doesn’t make this easier.
It makes her feel alone in one of the most vulnerable times of her life.

She doesn’t need judgment. She needs a steady nervous system next to hers.

Be that.

We need to stop pretending postpartum mental health struggles are rare. They’re not. They’re predictable.

After birth, a woman’s hormones don’t gently “balance out.”
They crash.

Estrogen and progesterone drop dramatically within hours—a hormonal free fall that would destabilize anyone.

And yet… we send women home with a baby and expect them to be fine.

No real plan.
No real support.
Just “call your doctor if you feel sad.”

What can that crash look like?

⚡ Anxiety that won’t turn off
⚡ Rage and irritability no one warned you about
⚡ Crying out of nowhere
⚡ Intrusive, scary thoughts
⚡ Feeling disconnected from yourself or your baby
⚡ In more severe cases—mania, paranoia, or postpartum psychosis

And still, women are told:
“Enjoy every moment.”
“Be grateful.”
“This is what you wanted.”

No.

This is what happens when biology, sleep deprivation, and zero village collide.

There is nothing weak about struggling in the postpartum period.
What’s broken is the lack of support around mothers.

You were never meant to do this alone.
You were meant to be held, fed, rested, and cared for—too.

As a postpartum doula, I will keep saying it:

Mothering the mother is not a luxury. It’s the baseline.

If you’re feeling off, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself—please don’t minimize it.

Reach out. Speak it. Get support.

You deserve care that is as real and as consistent as the care you’re giving your baby.

Carpal tunnel in postpartum is real — and no, you’re not “just being sensitive.” 🤍

That tingling in your fingers…
The numbness when you wake up…
The sudden weakness holding your baby…

It’s something so many new mothers experience — and almost no one prepares you for.

✨ Here’s why it happens:
Your body is still holding fluid
Your hormones are shifting rapidly
And your wrists are doing repetitive, unnatural work all day (and night)

Feeding. Lifting. Texting. Holding.
Over and over again.

But here’s the gentle truth:
It’s not just your wrist — it’s your whole posture, your nervous system, your recovery.

🌿 Support looks like:
• Bringing baby to you (not collapsing into baby)
• Using pillows like they’re part of your body
• Resting your wrists in neutral (especially at night)
• Softening the forearms, not forcing the wrist
• Letting your body unclench wherever it can

You don’t have to push through pain to be a good mother.

You deserve to be held, too.

This is your reminder to slow down, adjust, and receive support — even in the smallest ways.

In many cultures, the first 40 days after birth are considered sacred.

Not a time to “bounce back.”
A time to be held.

Postpartum confinement is the reminder that mothers were never meant to do this alone. It is rest. Warm meals. Gentle healing. Someone making sure you drink water. Someone reminding you that you are doing beautifully.

Because when a baby is born,
a mother is born too.

And she deserves just as much care.

This is the heart of postpartum doula care:
To mother the mother so she can mother her baby.

✨ The first 40 days can shape the next 40 years of a woman’s health.

My Philosophy

I believe the best postpartum support is felt as much as it is seen.

It is the quiet resetting of a space while a mother rests.
It is the gentle reassurance during moments of uncertainty.
It is the ability to move through a home with competence, intuition, and grace.

My work is rooted in the understanding that no two families are alike. Some homes move quickly, filled with the energy of older siblings and full schedules. Others need softness, stillness, and deep emotional holding. My gift is the ability to meet families exactly where they are—bringing both structure and serenity.

I am known for my ability to bring calm to movement and confidence to transition. ✨

Families trust me not only because of what I do, but because of how I make them feel: supported, understood, and never alone during one of life’s most vulnerable and meaningful chapters.

This work is not just my profession.
It is my calling.

To care for the mother.
To protect the early days of the baby.
To strengthen the foundation of the family.

Because when a mother is supported, the entire family thrives.

There is something about the ocean that speaks to a mother’s nervous system. 🌊

The sound of waves regulates the mind much like the womb once regulated baby — rhythmic, predictable, safe. Research shows that “blue spaces” like the ocean can lower cortisol, reduce anxiety, and help the brain enter a calmer state. For new mothers navigating hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, and emotional changes, this kind of regulation isn’t a luxury… it’s medicine.

Even if you can’t get to the beach, you can recreate the feeling:✨ Listening to ocean sounds during feeding or pumping✨ Taking deep breaths as if waves are coming in and out✨ Warm showers to simulate water therapy✨ Looking at images of the sea to calm the brain✨ Practicing slow, mindful moments with baby skin-to-skin

The postpartum period asks mothers to give so much of themselves. Moments of mental rest are not selfish — they are essential.

A calm mother doesn’t just benefit herself. She helps regulate her baby too.

Nature reminds us:You don’t have to force calm. You just have to allow it to come in waves. 🌊

Pregnancy doesn’t just grow a baby — it actually reshapes the mother’s brain. 🧠✨

Research shows that during pregnancy, certain areas of a woman’s brain slightly shrink, particularly regions involved in social cognition. But this isn’t something negative — it’s the brain rewiring itself to become more attuned to a baby’s needs.

This transformation can heighten a mother’s ability to read emotions, bond deeply, and respond intuitively to her child. In other words, the brain is becoming more efficient for motherhood. 🤍

Scientists sometimes call this “maternal brain remodeling.” What may look like “losing brain volume” is actually the brain specializing — preparing a mother to nurture, protect, and connect with her baby in profound ways.

Motherhood literally changes the brain… and in many ways, it’s a beautiful evolutionary upgrade. 🌙
