My name is Maria and I own and operate Tudor Sign Company. I have been creating for as long as I can remember. About five years ago I started hand carving and absolutely loved it! Working with wood has opened my world to another side of creativity. I love creating items that you can feel proud to showcase in your home, event or business. e craftsmanship evident in every piece I produce. My products are made the way America used to make her products...with traditional joinery (the sign of a true craftsman or craftswoman in my case). When I started making my frames I looked around and saw the same simple butt joint that everyone was using. After seeing so many, and realizing what a weak joint they afford, I decided that I would make a sturdier and more beautiful joint. There’s something special about the look of a traditional mitered frame. I’ve added an authentic spline (key) to the miter that gives it the unique pioneer look and adds strength to the joint as well. When someone walks by your sign they will not only notice the intriguing message you have displayed but also the fine craftsmanship done on your frame as well. I know you’ll appreciate the quality of my work, and if you’d like me to make you something that I don’t currently have on display, please send me a message and tell me what you have in mind. I would be more than happy to work under your commission and make "your sign your way.”
