Have you ever loved somebody so much that you found yourself working harder on their situation than they were?

You offer advice. You pray. You explain what you see. You try another approach because maybe, just maybe, this time they’ll listen. And when nothing changes, you start wondering whether you should have said more, done more, or tried harder.

I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to confuse loving people with being responsible for their choices. We can genuinely want someone to experience freedom, healing, and the goodness of God without having the power to make them receive it.

That’s one of the lessons behind my latest blog post, *You Can Love Them Without Saving Them*. We’ll look at Mark 6:11 and consider what it means to share what God has placed on our hearts while recognizing when it’s time to step back.

You don’t have to stop loving someone to stop carrying what was never yours to control.

Sometimes obedience means speaking. Sometimes it means praying quietly and trusting God with the rest.

NEW BLOG POST: "I Am He"

Good morning, Beautiful People!

Have you ever had to stand firm in who you are while people misunderstood you, questioned your intentions, or came against you?

In John 18, Jesus stood before the very people who came looking for Him and declared, “I am He.”

He knew who He was. He knew what He came to do. And He knew the cross was ahead of Him.

Let that marinate for a moment.

Jesus willingly faced what was coming so we could be reconciled to God. He took on what wasn’t His so we could receive what we could never earn on our own.

And sometimes, in the middle of everyday life, we forget what that cost Him.

This week, let’s remember that we don’t have to let other people’s actions dictate our responses. We can pray before reacting, stand firm in God’s truth, and trust Jesus to guide our steps.

The question is: When life comes looking for you with trouble, opposition, and confusion, will you remember who stands with you?

Sometimes we think being a Christian means having all the answers, having our lives together, or being the person everyone comes to when they need spiritual advice.

But what if our assignment is much simpler?

What if we are simply called to point people toward Jesus?

In John 10, Jesus describes Himself as the Shepherd. His sheep know His voice and follow Him. That got me thinking about the people around us who may not know His voice yet.

Some have never had a relationship with Jesus. Some have been hurt by the church. Some have simply never had anyone tell them about Him.

That is where we come in.

We aren't the Shepherd. We don't save people. We don't have to pretend we have everything figured out.

We can simply stand at the gate and point people toward the One who does.

The question is: "Who are you helping get to Jesus?"
