MAPmgm.org (Montgomery Arts Project) is thrilled to announce the sponsorship of the screening of the Oscar winning movie “Simple As Water" as part of the “Walk with Amal” project led by artist Chintia Kirana on Oct. 13th !

🕕 Time? 7 p.m. (Box office opens at 6pm. Tickets will be available at box office during the day of screening)

On Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. at Kress on Dexter, join moderator Shakita Jones and panelists Leah Nelson, Research Director of Alabama Appleseed, and David Sadler, CEO/Owner at Concierge Services, Inc., where they will lead a discussion on Life After Conviction: It Takes A Community in conjunction with ASF's production of CLYDE'S.

Re-entry into society after incarceration can be an overwhelming process to navigate, fraught with challenges and dangers. The stigma of incarceration colors relationships, employment, and housing, creating, in turn, stresses and pitfalls that lead to incomplete re-entry and even recidivism. This panel looks at why mitigating these challenges and dangers is good for the individual and society as a whole.
