This is a General Electric dryer. The customer stated it will not turn on. The issue with this one and a frequent issue is the timer k***s crack. This allows the k**b to turn on the timer shaft and it doesn't turn the timer to a cycle. You can see this k**b is cracked. We carry a assortment of k***s on our vans to quickly solve this issue.

This is a double wall oven. The unit is 10 years old. The issue is the main board is not reading the temperature sensors and overheating. The control board is no longer available. The manufacturer of only makes parts for roughly 8 years. The only parts available is what's in your large parts warehouses like Marcone, Encompass, Sundberg America, etc. When these are depleted the only thing the warranty company can do is replace the appliance or opt to send the board out for rebuild. That's what they chose to do in this instance. We pulled the board and sent it in. 6-8 weeks later we receive the board back and pray it works. What sh this customer luck !!!

The customers issue was the microwave was not heating. A few things we check is does the unit run normally when the door shuts. If the inside light stays on or the turntable runs when the door shuts and the unit does not started. This is usually a primary or secondary door switch sticking closed or open. If the keeps tripping a breaker or the unit is totally dead this is most likely a monitor door switch. If this is the case we recommend replacing all three door switches , latch board and latch hook. If the unit is not heating only and runs normally listen closely and you should hear a buzzing noise. If you hear that it's most likely just a magnetron and high voltage diode which we replace in pairs. If you don't hear the buzzing it is a transformer or control board which happens but is rare. Be careful when pulling the microwave apart. The danger is the capacitor which can carry 10,000 millivolts. This is lethal if you come in contact with it. Any microwave issues give us a shout and we can get you through it safely.

This is a Samsung dryer which the customer is getting a error code and extended drying times. This means they have to run 3-4 cycles to get there clothes to dry. I asked the customer on the phone prior to the call if the vent was cleaned recently and he said yes. This is what we found. The vent all the way in the dryer was full of acorns caused by squirrels bringing them in through the outside vent. What this does if your vent is clogged by anything the clothes will not dry. What we do is check the exit temperature of the vent leaving the dryer. Temperatures get up to 155-165 then the thermostat shuts the element off and the temperature will drop 20 degrees +|- a couple of degrees and then turn the element back on and go back to the 155-165 f mark. It will do this the whole cycle. If the vent is clogged the exit temperature will be higher and it will trick the thermostat into thinking the temperature is higher. So the thermostat will short cycle. What this means instead of the thermostat cycling at say 155 it will get up to 100f then shut the element off and then drop 10f and turn on. Clothes will take2-3 cycles to dry. Take the dryer vent tube off and run a load of clothes. Ifin it drys normally it's a vent issue. If it does not then it may likely be a cycling thermostat or timer/ electronic control board (ECB). Make sure the outside vent has a cover so no water, snakes, mice, etc can get in.

Here we have a Bosch dishwasher not running. No power to the UAI or user interface. Went back to the main board and had 0 volts alternating current (VAC) to the unit. Checked the breaker and it was tripped. Restitand it tripped again which means a shirt to ground. Pulled the unit out and pulled the cover off the terminal block and it is shorted(smoked). Requested a terminal block and was authorized. Replaced the block and we are in business

The customer told me he was getting a smell from his dryer and the dryer wouldn't run. It would just hum when he tryed to turn it on. Most of the time this is a article of clothing that gets into the blower wheel via the lint filter and binds the blower wheel up. Easy right pull it apart remove the clothing and on to the next. Well not today. I walked into the laundry room and the smell was off something dead. When I pulled the dryer apart I found the remains of some kind of animal. Further investigation I found the rattle. It's a rattlesnake chasing mice through the vent outside the house. What a choir getting this stinky beast out of there. Dryer is running don't know what he will do about the smell yuck. Make sure those outside dryer vents are covered when not in use. They are lucky this fella didn't find his way into the house

Here we have a customer with a GE side by side refrigerator with cooling issues. Temps in each cavity is hanging around 60f. Sometimes this can be caused by a evaporator coil iced up or not defrosting but usually you will see ice on the evaporator cover which is usually a tell take sign. Pulled the unit out and removed the back cover for the motor compartment. The compressor had been changed at some point in time so I already had access valves there to connect gauges too. I noticed ice was building up on the low pressure or suction line which is a indication of a sealed system issue. Could be a Freon leak, overcharge with freon etc. Put gauges on to check pressures and found the high side @ 100 psig and the low side at 30 psig. In this compressor it means the compressor is not pumping freon efficiently. Most likely freon leaking by a piston. Sent a estimate to the warranty company and we are authorized to replace the compressor. On too the next

We haven't posted anything in quite sometime. We are busier than we ever been so bear with us. This is a GE top load washer. Customer states it won't spin. I placed it into diagnostics and pulled three error codes but one was caused by the customer trying to get it to run. The other two were out of balance errors. When checking the gearcase underneath I found it was leaking oil. The oil gets all over the belt so when the unit try's to spin the belt slips not allowing the unit to get to high speed spin. Replaced the gearcase and cleaned the oil off the pulleys. Cleared the error codes, ran test mode mode in diagnostics and we are in business

Sorry we been so busy to post anything lately. This here is the flapper on a right French door of a refrigerator. Many people don't know the true purpose of this. If you see the wire connector on the left side this goes to a heater in this piece. Yes there is a heater so when you open and shut the door condensation don't built up on your door gasket and cause mold. Depending on the manufacturer it can be called a flapper or a door mullion. When it goes bad you will see water building up on it and the gaskets and the mullion. There is usually a screw or too in the center of the mullion holding it to the door. Take the screws out and slide the mullion up of its mounting brackets. Unclip the wire connector. There will be 3 wires one normally being a green wire this is your ground wire. On the refrigerator side Take a multimeter set on a/c volts and check the voltage on the other two wires (other than the green) there should be 120 volts a/c coming from the main board. Ohm out there same wires on the mullion. If the wire read Open on the mullion you have a shorted heater in the mullion. If you do not have a 120 volts on the door side you have a bad main control board or a broken wire between the door and the main board.

Whirlpool top mount refrigerator that has a defrost drain froze up. The customer complaint was not cooling well in the fridge cavity and water leaking into the fridge. The cool air comes into the fridge from the freezer section through vents. The defrost drain clogged up so when the unit goes into a defrost the water has to go somewhere. In this case it went down the return air vents into the fridge. Then it freezes and blocks the return air vents off. Cold air comes in the fridge but if the warmer air can’t go out it will not cool. Defrosted the drain and vents and on to the next job
