I have always found all of the different de-stress methods to be comical, from a reading perspective, as my brain never allows me to get past that part of it, the reading.

I always envisions a human acting out the ridiculous suggestions in my head... 😂 I guess thats part of the overall purpose, I presume.

I'm curious to here some rather unique, yet powerful methods that people within the business world are implementing to de-stress themselves.

Here are 5 random, silly methods to start off with. (No, I did not attempt them 😂🤷‍♂️)

Exercise beats medication in treating depression study reveals astonishing truth

In 2025 a groundbreaking study involving 128,119 people has revealed that regular exercise can be more effective than traditional dr*gs in treating depression. For decades people have relied on medication to manage mental health struggles, often facing side effects and long adjustment periods. This new research challenges that approach, showing that physical activity not only improves mood but also strengthens the brain's natural ability to regulate stress and emotional balance.

Participants who engaged in consistent aerobic or strength-training exercises reported significant reductions in depressive symptoms. The study highlights how movement triggers the release of endorphins and other natural mood-enhancing chemicals in the brain. These changes support emotional resilience, improve sleep, boost energy levels, and even enhance cognitive function. Unlike medication that may treat symptoms temporarily, exercise addresses the root causes of mental health issues by reshaping brain chemistry and improving overall body health.

This discovery could transform the way we approach depression globally. Mental health professionals may increasingly prescribe personalised exercise routines alongside or even instead of traditional treatments. Communities and individuals are encouraged to see exercise not just as a physical necessity but as a powerful tool for mental well-being. Even small daily activities like brisk walking, cycling, or light resistance training can make a meaningful difference in emotional health.

Imagine a future where mental health care includes gyms and outdoor spaces as much as clinics and pharmacies. Where people are empowered to take control of their minds and bodies through movement. This study reminds us that nature’s own tools can sometimes be more powerful than any lab-created solution.

In 1988, German couple Gunther and Christine Holtorf embarked on a journey that would redefine the meaning of adventure. What began as an 18-month exploration of Africa in their Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, affectionately named "Otto," evolved into a 26-year odyssey across 177 countries and nearly 550,000 miles. Their travels took them through deserts, jungles, war zones, and even into North Korea, all without sponsorship or fanfare.

Living out of Otto, they embraced a minimalist lifestyle, cooking meals over a portable stove and sleeping in hammocks or inside their trusty vehicle. Remarkably, Otto never broke down during their extensive travels, a testament to both the vehicle's reliability and the couple's meticulous maintenance. The Holtorfs' journey was driven by a deep-seated desire to experience the world firsthand, connecting with diverse cultures and landscapes along the way.

After Christine's passing in 2010, Gunther continued the journey in her memory, completing the final leg of their travels before returning to Berlin. Otto now resides in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, serving as a symbol of enduring love, adventure, and the spirit of exploration.

Jelly Roll is turning 100 acres into a lifeline for people in recovery.

The "Need A Favor" singer revealed he is building a completely free rehab campus, offering everything from 28-day programs to intensive therapy, and even ‘guest weekenders’ where those in long-term recovery can "get in the mud with the boys."

“On the other side of the creek… I’m going to develop...a 100-acre rehabilitation campus, for free. Where like, imagine drug addicts like you and like us, poor kids, like we’re just f***ing down, when life was kicking our a**. And now think about the resources that we have, that could have helped us so much in those moments," Jelly Roll said in a recent vlog of his.

He continued, “You’ll have your traditional 28-day, 12-step-style program. But also intensive programs as well for therapy and mental health. I think about the resources that could have helped us back then. Now we can finally build them.”

Jelly Roll's longtime friend and fellow recovery advocate, Big Mike, also shared during the video that the 40-year-old Nashville native is "dedicated to helping the community that helped him survive."

During the reconstruction of the World Trade Center, construction workers had to choose bring their own lunch or go down for 30 minutes daily to grab a meal. To solve this, Subway constructed a fully equipped shop within a shipping container, which was conveniently lifted to the workers each day.

When the new World Trade Center began to rise over Lower Manhattan, every level built felt like both an act of defiance and rebirth. For the thousands of construction workers who spent their days high above the city, even something as simple as lunch was a challenge. The climb down and back up could take nearly an hour, time few could afford to lose.

To solve it, the Subway sandwich chain came up with a quietly ingenious idea. They built a fully functioning restaurant inside a shipping container. Each morning, cranes lifted the bright yellow box up to the active floors, where crews could grab a sandwich without ever leaving the site. Inside, ovens baked bread, drinks cooled in small fridges, and the air smelled faintly of warm dough and steel dust.

It became a fixture of the rebuild, a small symbol of life and routine amid a project defined by memory and loss. The men and women working there didn’t just rebuild a skyscraper; they rebuilt a skyline’s heartbeat.

Added Fact: The “Sky Subway,” as workers nicknamed it, opened in 2010 and served nearly 2,000 meals a day. It operated until the tower’s topping-out in 2012, closing only when the project neared completion.

12 Year Old Pulled Over While Trying to Save Her Puppy In Texas, a 12 year old girl, home sick from school, was thrown into a terrifying situation. Her mom wasn’t answering, and her brand-new puppy was dying before her eyes.

Panicked but determined, she grabbed the car keys. Though she had never driven before, she made it nearly a mile toward the nearest vet, until flashing lights appeared behind her.

The officer who pulled her over quickly realized what was happening. Without hesitation, he rushed the puppy into his car and sped to the vet. Thanks to his quick thinking, the puppy survived.

The girl, already overwhelmed with guilt, was later taken to her mom’s workplace. Before leaving, the officer turned to the mother and said:

“I’d usually give you a lecture, hoping you’d raise a better child. But ma’am you’ve raised an amazing, strong, compassionate, and smart young woman. Let’s just make sure she learns what side of the road to drive on in a few years.”

Don't miss tonight's Harvest Supermoon!!!

The first supermoon of 2025 will grace the night sky on October 6, appearing large in the night sky with Saturn close to its right.

The full Harvest Moon reaches peak illumination at 11:47 PM EDT. This is the first of three supermoons in 2025, making it the largest and brightest full Moon of the year.

The Harvest Moon gets its name from farming folklore about how the full Moon's light enables farmers to gather crops late into the night.

For the best view, look for the Moon rising in the east at sunset. The Moon appears largest when rising or setting, so open landscapes like fields, parks, or waterfronts add scale and drama.
