It is with broken hearts that we share that Linda K McDaniel Jones passed away this morning.
She was a integral part of the Winston community, and a very important part of the Winston VFD for many years, working alongside former Chief Jim Jones.
She and Jim were always ready to jump in to assist and support Monticello VFD in any way that we needed. We were a family.
Linda was always a ray of sunshine and one of the sweetest people. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Our condolences to her family.

At around midnight, Monticello VFD was paged out to respond to a possible vehicle fire on the Monticello flats.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle fully involved and worked diligently through the early morning hours to ensure that the fire did not spread.

Thank you to all our members who woke up and rolled out of bed with us!
