He joins a distinguished 2024 class of 40 “remarkable individuals quietly making profound contributions to the Charlotte community,” the Ledger wrote. Michal was honored for his generous support of “global and local causes, exemplifying his commitment to improving lives.” He owns Alino Pizzeria, The Barcelona Burger, Picasso Taqueria and Merino Mill In Mooresville, and The Barcelona Burger in Winston-Salem.
