Hi, I’m Krystal — the owner of Lake Norman Laundry Co.
I started my first laundry pickup and delivery company in Colorado Springs because I was trying to not lose the roof over my head.
At the time, I had an eviction notice on my door almost every single month. By the time I scraped together rent, late fees, and the extra money to pay off the lawyers, the next month’s rent would be due just a few days later. It was a cycle I couldn’t get out of.
I was working a remote job, doing laundry on the side for another company, and DoorDashing whenever I could. I’m also a single mom to a son with autism, so life already required a lot from me. I was juggling work, parenting, appointments, schedules, and barely staying afloat.
In October of 2023, I made a simple post in a local group asking for side work. If you told me then that I was planting the seed for my own business, I would’ve laughed. I wasn’t trying to become a business owner. I just needed income.
That one post changed everything.
Within a few months, I was able to quit my job and officially launch my first company. A few months after that, I hired a team so I wouldn’t have to turn clients away and so other moms could earn flexible income too.
I built systems. I learned how to manage contractors. I figured out pricing, logistics, customer service, growth — all by doing. Not perfectly. Not smoothly. But consistently.
In May of 2025, I launched Lake Norman Laundry Co.
Not because it sounded impressive.
Not because I had it all figured out.
But because I believe the systems I’ve built and the service model I’ve refined can serve families here, too.
This isn’t something I threw together casually. It’s something I’m building with intention. Thoughtfully, carefully, and with the same standards that built my first company.
I haven’t “made it.” I’m still learning. Still adjusting. Still growing. But the challenges I face today are very different from the ones I faced two years ago and I don’t take that for granted.
