A Little Introduction to Mora Area Auction

Whether you’ve attended one of our sales before or are thinking about coming for the first time, here’s a little look at what Mora Area Auction is all about.

Our goal is to continue growing and providing a place where people can buy, sell, and connect through their shared love of animals.

That love for animals is something we take pride in. Many of our staff raise and keep livestock, pigeons and poultry themselves, so this is more than just an auction to us.

We work hard to keep our sales running smoothly while offering a large variety of livestock, poultry and, based on our 2026 sales, the largest variety of pigeons in Minnesota. We also see a wide range of other animals come through, making every sale a little different. You truly never know what you might find!

And let’s not forget about the food! Our kitchen serves fresh, home-cooked Amish-made meals throughout the day. It’s a great part of the experience and definitely worth stopping in for.

Whether you’re coming to buy, sell, visit, or just enjoy the atmosphere, we appreciate everyone who makes Mora Area Auction what it is.

We look forward to seeing you at the next sale!

Wow… what a year it has been for Mora Area Auction!

We truly appreciate everyone who came out to our sales this year. Whether you were buying, consigning, or just stopping in to see what a livestock and small animal auction is all about, we’re thankful you were there.

We’ve been putting our heads together and planning ahead for next year, and we’re excited to announce our 2027 sale dates:

April 10
May 8
September 11
October 9

Every sale we continue to grow, and that’s because of all of you who continue to support us and trust us with your animals.

If you haven’t made it to one of our auctions yet, you never really know what you’re going to find!

Our consignors bring us a little bit of everything. You’ll see fancy chickens like Ayam Cemanis and show-quality birds, along with everyday backyard flock birds. We also get exotic birds, reptiles, cows, horses, goats, geese, ducks, and plenty of other surprises. There really is something for just about everyone.

And did I mention pigeons? We get a large number of pigeons consigned at every sale, with all three varieties represented fancy, flying, and utility.

We’re excited to see what 2027 brings and we can’t wait to keep growing this auction with all of you.

Thank you for making Mora Area Auction what it is!
