The right piece of equipment can make a difference when you're trying to keep an operation moving.

Through AgQuest's partnership with Northland Capital Equipment Finance, producers have access to financing options for quality pre-owned machinery. Whether you're looking to add to your fleet, replace aging equipment, or find a machine that fits a specific need, pre-owned equipment can be a practical way to make your next investment.

No waiting on a new factory build. No need to automatically rule out a machine because it's not brand new. Sometimes the right fit is already out there.

Risk management doesn't have to mean changing the way you market your cattle.

Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) can provide price protection while allowing producers to continue marketing their livestock according to their own plans. That flexibility can make LRP a useful tool alongside the strategies you already use to manage your operation.

At AgQuest, we believe good risk management starts with understanding how each tool fits into the bigger picture. Our team is here to help you look at the options, talk through the details, and decide what makes sense for your operation.

Harvest reminder: If your bin contains old-crop grain, stop before adding new grain.

If you're planning to store newly harvested grain in a bin that already contains old-crop bushels, contact your AgQuest Crop Insurance agent before adding any new grain.

An adjuster must measure and mark the existing old-crop grain before the new crop is added. This inspection helps establish the amount of old-crop production before the two crops are stored together.

Do not commingle old- and new-crop grain before the required measurement is completed. Doing so can create serious challenges when production is documented and may jeopardize your crop insurance coverage.

If you're getting ready for harvest and have old-crop grain remaining in storage, contact your AgQuest Crop Insurance team early so we can help make sure the required inspection is completed before you add new grain.

When producers hear "price protection," many immediately think of future markets, margin calls, and added complexity.

Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) offers another approach.

LRP is designed to help protect against declining market prices without requiring future trading or margin calls, giving producers another tool to manage risk while continuing to market livestock in a way that works for their operation.

At AgQuest, we believe risk management should fit your operation, not the other way around. That's why we're committed to helping producers understand their options and make informed decisions with confidence.

Curious how LRP compares to other marketing strategies? Read our latest article in the comments.

Planning to chop corn for silage instead of harvesting it for grain?

If your corn was originally insured as grain and you've decided to put some or all of that crop to another use, it's important to contact your AgQuest Crop Insurance advisor before harvest begins.

An appraisal may be required to help protect your crop insurance coverage, and giving your advisor as much notice as possible allows time to complete the necessary inspection.

If you're considering chopping corn for silage or have questions about how it may affect your policy, don't wait. Reach out to your local AgQuest Crop Insurance specialist today so we can help you through the process.

When it comes to Livestock Risk Protection (LRP), one of the biggest misconceptions is that it's only designed for large cattle operations.

The reality is LRP can be a valuable risk management tool for a variety of producers, including cow-calf operations, backgrounders, and feedlots. Coverage can be tailored to fit your operation, giving you the flexibility to choose the number of head, marketing window, and coverage level that best meets your needs.

At AgQuest, we know every operation is different. That's why we take the time to help you understand your options and find coverage that fits your goals.
