The GRASS Application is Open! Apply Now! 🌾🍀🌾🍀

We are excited to announce that the Grazing for Appalachian Sustainability (GRASS) Project is accepting applications! The GRASS project provides beef and sheep farmers with educational and technical assistance, and financial incentives to support the continuation of or transition to sustainable pasture management on working lands and expand existing markets.

You can find more information about the project and a link to the application at extension.wvu.edu/GRASS. The application deadline for this quarter is September 15th!

WVU Extension is launching a statewide needs assessment to ensure our programs are addressing current critical needs starting with a series of listening sessions to be held across the state to hear from stakeholders.

•May 2, 9 a.m. – WVU J.W. Ruby Research Farm, Reedsville
•May 7, 6:30 p.m. – Jefferson County Extension Office, Kearneysville
•May 11, 7 p.m. – WVU Jackson’s Mill Assembly Hall, Weston
•May 14, 6 p.m. – Wood County Courthouse Annex, Parkersburg
•May 20, 6 p.m. – Eastern Community College, Moorefield
•May 26, 6:30 p.m. – WVU Building, State Fairgrounds, Fairlea
