💜 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Huntington, WV 💜

The end of Alzheimer’s is closer than ever, but we still need you! 💜 Join the Alzheimer’s Association on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Marshall Health Network Arena in Huntington for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

This event brings our community together to raise awareness, support those affected by Alzheimer’s, and help fund vital research toward a future without this disease.

🌼 Registration begins at 8:30 AM, with the opening ceremony at 9:30 AM.

While you’re there, make sure you stop by our table to enter our FREE raffle for a chance to win a prize!!!

Whether you walk, donate, or show your support, every step makes a difference. Together, we can help move closer to a world without Alzheimer’s!

🇺🇸 Veteran Spotlight 🇺🇸

This week we are proud to recognize one of our own and honor her service in the United States Army! 💙

Shannon Linville, who is now Assistant Office Manager at our Beaver office, served in the United States Army from 1987 until 1993. As a third-generation member of a military family, service was already a part of her family’s story. With her father having served in the Army, her brother in the Marines, and other family members who served, she was determined to prove that she belonged, even when others doubted her.

Despite facing doubts about whether women belonged in the military, she was determined to prove she could do it. Her experience shaped her belief that women are just as qualified as men to serve, and she encourages young women to stick with their goals!

Looking back, she says she loved being in the military because it brought her peace and joy, and she wouldn’t trade the experience for anything!

She moved to West Virginia from Chicago in 2000 and joined Choice Care At Home in 2009. Today, she continues to enjoy connecting with people from different walks of life and helping others through her work.

We thank her for her service, her determination, and the care she continues to show others. We’re honored to have her part of our CCAH family!

🏃 100 Miles in 100 Days - Challenge Complete!

Our office staff recently participated in the 100 miles in 100 days challenge - a self-directed program designed to encourage us to get moving and build the habit of being active every day. Over the course of the challenge, our team got out there and put in the miles!

We are excited to recognize our top finishers:

We were honored to be part of the Homeless Veterans Stand Down in Huntington, WV hosted by Homeless Veterans Resource Center!

The event brought Veterans together with local organizations, VA representatives, and community resources all in one place - creating an opportunity to connect, learn about available services, and receive support.

Our team was proud to have a table at the event and share information about Choice Care At Home, including the programs we have to offer. We also had a little fun along the way with our raffle and our "guess how many toy soldiers" jar! ❤

Most importantly, we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with and support the Veterans in our communities. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to all who have served our country!
