What's slowing down your crew?

Sometimes lost productivity isn't about how hard the crew is working. It's about whether they have the right setup for the job.

⚙️ Wrong equipment: A machine that isn't suited for the application can make surface prep harder and less efficient.

🛠️ Worn tooling: When tooling is past its prime, production and performance can suffer.

💨 Poor dust control: An inefficient dust collection setup can mean more cleanup and unnecessary interruptions.

The right combination of equipment, tooling, and dust collection can help keep your crew—and your project—moving.

Not sure what setup your next job requires? Contact a BMD Industry Expert.

Warehouse floors don't get much downtime.

Forklift traffic, heavy equipment, coatings, contaminants, and day-to-day operations can all take a toll—and when it's time to restore or prepare that surface, the right equipment matters.

From grinders designed for concrete grinding, smoothing, and coating removal to shot blasters built for efficient cleaning and surface profiling, the best solution depends on the facility, existing surface, and desired result.

And on large commercial and industrial projects, efficiency matters. The right setup can help crews cover more ground and keep the job moving.

Not sure which equipment fits your facility or next project? Contact a BMD Industry Expert to find the right surface preparation solution.

When is it time to choose a ride-on floor scraper?

For large flooring removal projects, speed and efficiency matter. Ride-on floor scrapers are designed to help contractors cover more ground while reducing manual labor and operator fatigue.

They're especially useful for:
✔ Large, open commercial or industrial spaces
✔ Removing tile, vinyl, wood, adhesives & coatings
✔ Projects where productivity and faster removal are priorities
✔ Preparing surfaces for grinding, polishing, coatings or new flooring

But bigger isn't always better. For smaller rooms or areas with limited access, a walk-behind scraper may be the better fit.

Choosing the right machine starts with understanding the job.
