To the Editor:

It is disturbing to see how the Republicans in Morris Township have lost their way. This year they have nominated a candidate who’s a self-professed member of the MAGA cult. She marched on the Capitol on January 6, is an election denier, and belongs to the extreme Moms for Liberty, a group of anti-vaxxers who wish to mold the school curriculum to their beliefs and ban books. She has no experience in public service.

The Democratic candidates, Jeff Grayzel and Donna Guariglia, are much more in step with what the Township needs: dedicated, hard-working public servants. Jeff has served on the Township Committee for three terms and has been mayor in both 2019 and 2021. Donna was appointed to the Committee this year. She’s a long-time Township resident and was president of the non-partisan League of Women Voters for five years.

Grayzel and Guariglia are the only viable candidates in Morris Township—experienced, intelligent and in sync with what’s best for all of us.

IR-2020-69, April 10, 2020 — To help millions of people, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service today launched a new web tool allowing quick registration for Economic Impact Payments for those who don’t normally file a tax return.

Available only on IRS.gov, the online application is safe and secure to use. Taxpayers only need a few pieces of information to quickly obtain the status of their payment and, where needed, provide their bank account information. Having a copy of their most recent tax return can help speed the process.

* For taxpayers to track the status of their payment, this feature will show taxpayers the payment amount, scheduled delivery date by direct deposit or paper check and if a payment hasn't been scheduled. They will need to enter basic information including:
Social Security number
Date of birth, and
Mailing address used on their tax return.
Taxpayers needing to add their bank account information to speed receipt of their payment will also need to provide the following additional information:
Their Adjusted Gross Income from their most recent tax return submitted, either 2019 or 2018
The refund or amount owed from their latest filed tax return
Bank account type, account and routing numbers

Get My Payment cannot update bank account information after an Economic Impact Payment has been scheduled for delivery. To help protect against potential fraud, the tool also does not allow people to change bank account information already on file with the IRS.

A Spanish version of Get My Payment is expected in a few weeks.
