A queen whose beauty is worthy of a forever grid post👑🐝. All queens are beautiful to see in a hive, but those particular beauty made us stop and stare!

Hive in the sky! The honey flow is in FULL SWING in Atlanta, GA! Each honey super (7 on this hive) holds about 30 pounds of honey inside it. That means this BEE-AST has about 200 pounds of liquid hold hidden i side! One of our specialties at Bee Downtown is our ability to keep our colonies in a way where we are able to surprise and delight our partners we far more honey than the state and national averages of honey production per hive. These ladies will be in our 2026 200 pound honey club for sure!

Bee Downtown got a spotlight today on National News to talk about urban agriculture and the importance of honeybees in our society. We’re incredibly grateful for the platform we’ve been given through Bee Downtown and the work we do to share the story of the honeybees and sustainable agriculture with anyone who will listen.
