Hiring "Independent Contractors" be having people in a chokehold. And the IR of the S don't play about it either y'all.

So let me explain...Misclassification of Employees is a big thing in the Entrepreneurial world.

Check this out:

1. It is illegal to hire Independent Contractors and expect them to work like Employees. So providing them with a schedule, having them clocking in, giving them a worklist, expectations, a job offer with hourly wages and such is a No Go.

2. With an IC, you can NOT control what the worker does and how the worker does his or her job. Think Plumber. You hire them to perform a task. They diagnose your issue, tell you what's needed and their rates, and they fix your problem often giving you an invoice to pay upon completion. You pay them and they go about their business. They carry the expertise, to rectify your problem... that's an Independent Contractor and not YOUR employee. Remember that.

3. What y'all don't know that if a person was hired as an IC but FEELS like you have deemed them doing work or tasks like an employee they can fill out the forms with the IR of S, lol, to basically configure and report the employee’s share of uncollected Social Security and Medicare taxes due on their compensation.

Bottom line: Stop playing with the IR of S and invest in a HR Professional that will keep your behind out of trouble.

Trust me. You don't want those issues.

I came up with an ENTIRE Strategy for a Cleaning or Organization Business, bc I'm pretty good at strategizing HOW TO increase Profits for Businesses and making them fun, relatable, and personal.
