First batch of Green Giants has officially landed

We’re starting to branch out a little and add privacy trees to the lineup. A few of these are already spoken for, but we do have some available.

Can also install locally if needed.

For anyone unfamiliar with them, Green Giants are fast-growing privacy trees that stay green year-round. Once established, they can grow several feet per year and commonly reach around 25–30 feet tall locally, making them great for privacy lines and property borders.

Excited to see where this new venture goes. What other kinds of trees or plants would y’all like to see us start carrying?

Everybody this time of year wants to get crazy with w**d killer and spray everything down to bare dirt… especially around ponds and drainage ditches.

The problem is, that vegetation is what helps hold soil together, reduce erosion, filter runoff, and protect the environment. Once it’s gone, heavy rains can quickly wash banks away and cause muddy water, erosion, and long-term damage.

We highly recommend being cautious around these sensitive areas and using responsible vegetation management practices instead of just killing everything off.

Sometimes “clean” isn’t always better.

We believe in protecting properties the right way not just the fastest way.

We’ve been in a dry spell lately… honestly most folks haven’t even had to cut their grass much yet this year.

Got everybody thinking lawn care ain’t needed right now 😂

With Easter just a couple weeks away, nothing ruins a good old-fashioned egg hunt quicker than a kid finding fire ants instead of eggs.

Now’s the perfect time to get ahead of it and keep that from happening this Easter season.

The next few weeks is when yards really start waking up mowing season kicks off and fire ants and mosquitoes start getting active around here.

This is what you want to see. Worker ants carrying bait back into the mound. The goal isn’t to just kill the ants you see it’s to eliminate the queen. Once the queen is gone, the colony collapses. When they start hauling bait like this, you know it’s working. Patience beats panic every time.

It’s cold out and they’re calling for snow this weekend, but spring will be here before we know it.

My grandpa always told me the early bird catches the worm, so I figured I’d go ahead and share this now before the mosquitoes remind us they’re coming too.

Instead of sitting around during the slow season, I spent some time hitting the books and getting things lined up for the warmer months. I’m excited to say Bug N Blade LLC will now be offering mosquito, flea, and tick treatments, including all natural options for those who prefer them.
