This one means more to me than I can adequately put into words. ❤️

I just published a new About page for Majestic Nature Photography, but it became something far more personal than a typical business biography.

It begins with the old Kodak Ektra 110 camera my grandma gave me as a kid. It carries forward the memory of my Aunt Ada, whose travels and postcards helped open the world to me. It tells the story of my emotional first international takeoff, the people who became friends and family along the way, and the shared water bottle in Iceland that I genuinely believe may have saved my life.

Most importantly, it explains why Majestic Nature Photography exists.

Not everyone can board an airplane, cross an ocean, hike to an erupting volcano, explore another culture, or stand in front of a place they have dreamed about their entire life.

If someone cannot go to the experience, I want to bring the experience to them.

That is the heart behind every photograph, video, immersive experience, and story I share:

Moolack Beach Stereogram

Time for something a bit different:
A 3D photo!

Look at this photo, and focus on the empty space between the two photos. You may need to cross your eyes a bit, and move the photo closer or further away. It helps if you tap to enlarge the usage, so there's nothing else on your screen. You'll see a third image form in the middle - focus on that new image. As your brain begins to process it, you'll soon see 3D depth, as of your standing on the beach.

BEHIND THE SCENES:

When there's a chance of thunderstorms over the sea, but you're away on other adventures:

My little automated setup:
GoPro set on timelapse, taking a photo every 2 seconds, on a suction mount, and then used the wire wrap mount as a redundancy layer in case the suction fails. Then a clamp mount holds the battery pack, which is in plastic, and inline drip loop in the cable to prevent water trailing.

These are the kinds of shenanigans I partake in 😅
Might not catch lightning, especially with such a long interval like 2 seconds, but it is high tide right now, so at the very least, we'll get some cool clouds, hopefully some cool occasional light rays, with the surf receding for low tide at 2:30.
We'll see how it goes!

OK, a little late-night transparency from a very tired small business owner. 😂

I've seen a few comments questioning whether the Journey Java samples are actually free, whether there's a catch, or even whether this is a scam.

So, rather than argue about it, here are the receipts.

As of tonight, I've shipped 28 orders and personally paid $205.53 in just shipping and insurance. It doesn't include the coffee samples, packaging, inserts, advertising, or any of the other costs that go into putting these together.

And yes - the samples really are free.

There's even a free-shipping option for anyone who wants to use it. Some people have voluntarily chosen to pay shipping instead, and I genuinely appreciate that more than they probably realize.

Why am I doing this?

Because I'm a small business (literally just me), I'm trying to get these coffees into people's hands, introduce people to the brand, learn what everyone likes, hopefully earn some new customers, and to actually build something.

That's it. That's the catch.

It's currently 3:51am on Sunday, and I'm spending my weekend packaging orders for people I've never met because 28 people who have never met me decided to take a chance on me and give my coffee a shot (ha, unintentional pun there 😂)

And THAT part is pretty dang cool, I think!
While others only saw a random Facebook post, or looked for hidden strings attached, you all are literally giving me the chance to make this whole thing - make my whole dream of getting this business off the ground - a very real possibility.

Also, sorry for the delay on getting some of your orders packaged - the UPS for my computer decided to die right in the middle of this rush, so I had to overnight a new one from Amazon to get back up and running.
But, we're good now!
