Electric Fisherman Moses Lake

Electric Fisherman Moses Lake Authorized Service Center for Minn Kota Trolling Motors, Cannon Down Riggers, and Piranha Propellers I have been servicing Minn Kota Motors for many years.

I started in Minnesota and moved to Moses Lake about 4 years ago. Minn Kota, (Johnson Outdoors) owns Cannon Downriggers, Humminbird, and several more companies. After I moved here I was asked me to service Cannon Downriggers also. Once every 3 years, we are required to attend training at the Factory in Minnesota. We are updated on all that is necessary for us to provide the best service we can. I

am also a Piranha Propeller Dealer. These Props are great. Once you see them, how they work, your options, and convenience of them, you will want to try one the next time you need a prop. They are stronger then aluminum and will stand up to Stainless Steel Performance with a negligible difference. Best part of these props, about the same price as an aluminum prop and you can repair it yourself, wherever you are. Made for almost everything up to 300 hp. Call me anytime with questions and I will do my best to help you with whatever I can. Thanks for looking,
Scott

Please contact me on my cell if you are in need of service or have any questions. I do not use this page to communicate or answer questions. My cell number is 509-989-8959. I prefer phone calls or a text message to this number and then a call. Also the address ON THIS web site is not correct and I don't have the administrative right to change it. It was set up by the Chamber of Commerce when I first moved here. My current address is 2950 West Marina Drive in Moses Lake. I also have some motors in stock, BUT NO ULTERRA'S. I do have the following motors. Ultrex 80, Ultrex 112, Riptide Terrova 112, Riptide Terrova 80 with I-pilot Link, Riptide Terrova 55, Riptide Powerdrive 70, Powerdrive 55, Powerdrive 70. All these motors are I-Pilot , one with the Link. All are direct from the factory in the box and have a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. This is going to be my end of the season clearance and great prices. Please pass this on to your friends.
Thank you all for your business over the years. I will continue to do my best for you.

ICE, ICE, ICE
If you own an Ulterra and are fishing in cold winter waters, the splashing water will freeze your motor up. Try to protect your motor from the freezing water if its splashing on your motor. PLEASE review the Emergency Stowing Procedure and follow it if your motor freezes up and will not stow properly. You CANNOT stow the motor manually WITHOUT doing the Emergency Stow Procedure, FIRST. Call me if you have any questions.

I want to say Thank You to everyone for your business this last year, and years past. Minn Kota is a GREAT company and I'm proud to be a part of it. For those of you who own an Ultrex, Minn Kota has increased the Warranty Time Frame to 3 years. All motors will be covered for 3 years from the Date of Purchase for the original owner. This is retroactive to the launch of the Ultrex in 2016. Hows that for great customer service??

FYI, I have repaired many motors over the years that could have been covered by warranty if they would have brought them in when they first noticed a problem. The stories are generally the same, it was working so I kept using it. Then it just stopped. Now the warranty is expired.

If you think theres a problem, call a service center and talk to them about it. I will answer my phone 7 days a week. If I can't answer, please leave a message and I'll get back to you asap. Thanks again everyone.

Greetings all:
One issue that causes a lot of problems found with trolling motors brought in for a potential repair is BATTERIES.

Don't assume that because your batteries are new, the best on the market, and charged overnight, that they cannot be the problem. Many of my customers over the years have taken the time and driven a fair distance for me to tell them, (there's nothing wrong with your motor, I'm suspecting there's a problem in your boat).

Having said that, it should always be the first thing you check before taking the time to take it off your boat, loading it up, driving however far you have to, for me to possibly tell you that the problem is in your boat.

To check your batteries, USE A VOLT METER and check each one. Then check the combined voltage at the posts on the batteries that are feeding your plug. Then check your voltage at the plug and see if it has the same voltage. If possible, wiggle the lead wires while doing so and note any difference. That could mean a loose connection someplace. You should also check your charger output to each battery after you have used them and plugged your MINN KOTA ON BOARD CHARGER IN. (Had to throw that in the mix), which by the way, I've only replaced 2 maybe 3 since I've been here.

The next step is up to you. If your not getting the usual battery life you were, it's either the motor, or still could be your batteries. A good Digital load test will answer that. If you have to travel a distance to get your motor to me, you may want to do the load test first. (Its an option to save you time and money, especially if your in the heat of the fishing battle and really don't want to be without it.

Parking your boat for the winter, means charging your batteries for the winter. This is a vital component in proper battery maintenance and the life of your battery. Follow your battery manufacturer instructions or look on line for the best maintenance for your particular batteries.

Call me anytime with questions or concerns you may have. Thank you to all.

2018 annual Sturgeon Fishing on the Rainey River with my Dad, Uncle, Cousin, and other friends. Quite a trip so far. Fishing and watching for Ice Bergs floating by. Weather has been radical and I picked up a hell of a cold. Makes for some long days, but hook into one of these and itโ€™s worth it all.

03/05/2018

Itโ€™s that time again. Spring is right around the corner. I am off to MN again. Iโ€™m going to the Minn Kota Factory for training. We are required to go to maintain our ASC status. Since all my family is there, I take advantage of it and visit all family I can. I will be back on the 17th of March. I do have a couple trips I will be making after that. I have a Grandson graduating High School, and my annual family Sturgeon Fishing trip. I will do my best to accommodate your repair needs. Please call me ASAP if you think you have a problem or repair needed. Call me even if you know Iโ€™m gone. I do have some motors I can loan out if Iโ€™m not able to take care of yours before I go or while Iโ€™m gone.
