This nomination means more to us than we can easily put into words.
For more than 50 years, A-1 Termite & Pest Control has been welcomed into homes and businesses throughout our community. Over those years, customers have become familiar faces, familiar faces have become friends, and many families who trusted us decades ago still trust us today.
That is why being nominated by our customers for the 2026 BBB Torch Award for Ethics is so special to us.
Of course, winning would be an incredible honor. But whether we win or lose, the nomination itself already feels like a victory. To know that the people we serve believe A-1 represents honesty, integrity, and ethical business practices is something we are genuinely proud of.
For generations, we’ve tried to follow one simple principle: Treat people the way we would want our own family to be treated.
When someone calls A-1, they’re trusting us with their home, their business, and sometimes a place their family has spent a lifetime building. We have never taken that trust lightly. We try to be honest when we walk through the door, fair in the work we recommend, and there for our customers when they need us.
We’ve made mistakes over the years. Every business does. But we’ve always believed that character isn’t about never making a mistake—it’s about how you respond, how you treat people, and whether you’re willing to make things right.
Businesses change. Generations change. Communities change. But the values A-1 was built on more than 50 years ago don’t have to.
To every customer who nominated us, called us, recommended us, left us a review, waved to one of our technicians, or simply trusted our family to take care of yours:
