It is with immense sadness that The City of Seminole Fire Rescue Department announces the loss of one of our own, Lt. Brendon Holcomb.

Lt. Holcomb was a 14-year veteran of the department and beloved by all who knew him. He was most recently awarded with the Department Medal of Honor for his heroic actions on scene of an overturned vehicle in a body of water. His love for our profession, his community and his fellow firefighters was exhibited with a palpable energy that will not be soon forgotten.

The loss of Lt. Holcomb has sent a shock not only through our department, but through many other departments around the county, he was well known throughout our fire community.

While our Seminole Firefighters and staff are absolutely heartbroken, we remain steadfast with the same commitment to our great profession and the mission Lt. Holcomb was proud to call his own.

🚨Listen up, this post is important! 🚨

“Kia America has issued a “park outside” recall for 462,869 model year 2020-2024 Telluride vehicles because of a risk of fire while parked or driving. The automaker is advising owners to park their vehicles outside and away from other vehicles and structures until the recall repair has been completed.” (Source: www.nhsta.gov)

Add to that elevated winds expected over the next several days, and conditions could be ripe for .
