I called and talked to someone last week and told whoever I talked to the status of your return. It was accepted and should be in the bank a week from when it was accepted. I spoke to the lady there.

If you are over 65 years old,own real estate and live in West Virginia make sure you take the form sent by the State tax Department Form SCTC to the person preparing your return. The State gives you a credit using this Senior Citizen Tax Credit. You can get this money refunded to you or used against any tax liability.

Lightner’s tax service will be opened on Thursday, January 19th. The IRS has announced that Efiling will be opened on January 23rd. Our office hours will be 9:30 - 5:00 Monday thru Friday. Evening and Saturdays will be by Appointment Only.
You should look to receive papers from your Pension Plans, Social Security Administration, The State of West Virginia has sent the Senior Citizens Tax Credit were sent, if you received a previous year's tax refund you will be receiving a form from the IRS with the amount of interest they paid.
