Moundsville takes its name from the largest Indian burial mound in the world built by people who lived in this area nearly 2,000 years ago. The chamber’s Executive Director is a member of the OVIBDC Board of Directors. Regional Economic Development Partners (RED) represents the County Commission for economic development. Chamber sponsored seminars on improved business concepts

The chamber’s Annual Golf Scramble provides networking among businesses from within the county as well as business from outside Marshall County. Chamber committees offer educational information to the membership

The annual Christmas Tree Gala Fundraiser sets tone for the holidays. All county tourist stops have joined together to promote Marshall County Tourism as a whole.
