Today marks the first official day of Abound Health Mount Airy! You have all been amazing through this process. I am proud to have been a decade plus employee of Christi Kirkman. David certainly summed it well in his post yesterday. Which is why this post is so important!

Christi was the most kind and genuine boss I have ever had and selfless to others on numerous occasions.
In the spirit of our new future and all of its opportunities, let's take time today to acknowledge memories, or anything you would like to share, words of encouragement, or even feedback. We have been blessed with the best for many years and have so much to be thankful for.
One of Abound's core values is, "Every voice matters," and that is so true today! 💚

🍁🍂🍁🍂Families, clients, and staff: Please join us on October 20th for a fully catered meal at Riverside Park! There will be an optional costume contest for those who are interested in showing off their creative side for Halloween, as well as games, food, fun, and fellowship! We hope to see you there! Please call the office to confirm attendance and provide a headcount. We look forward to seeing you all and getting acquainted with our new Abound team! :)

Families and staff, we are grateful for your unwavering support as we transition to Abound Health. We will deeply miss Christi Kirkman and appreciate the 24+ years of service she has dedicated to Behavioral Services, Inc. We wish her a restful and adventurous retirement!

As we transition, things may seem overwhelming as we document our changes over to Abound Health. Please know that we are all still available to serve you during office hours, via phone, email, and work cell. Please be aware of office email address changes – your QPs should be reaching out to update those but the general format is [email protected].
Questions and communication are welcomed and encouraged! We want you to be heard and feel supported! There are very exciting opportunities and memories ahead.
We are invested in person-centered care and upholding our founding principles, "...Helping you navigate life’s journey...". Choice. Empowerment. Respect. All deeply rooted values of our new extended family with Abound Health.

Our first Fall Festival and Welcome Event will be very soon! So, mark your calendars and come hungry for BBQ and fun! The date will be October 20th from 2 PM-4 PM and we ask that you confirm attendance, so we have plenty to go around! More details to come regarding location & festivities...

Once our official go-live date is initiated with Abound, this page will no longer be available for Behavioral Services. However, Abound Health has several pages on Facebook where you can keep up with special events, news, hiring positions & needs, as well as employee appreciation, family resources & opportunities, consumer/family/staff support, and updates.
