Welcome to 2025!

A brand-new year, a blank chapter, and endless possibilities are ahead. The question is: Will this year be a breakthrough, or will it be a replay of 2024?

Yesterday, I had a powerful, gut-wrenching conversation with a gym owner – let’s call her Mary. She was in a place that too many owners are in: burnt out, exhausted, and feeling like she’s spinning her wheels for nothing.

When I asked her what was really going on, the floodgates opened. Her voice cracked, and she admitted, “I spend every waking minute with other people’s kids. My own daughters barely see me – and when they do, they’re tired of having a coach for a mom. And it’s not just my family…”

She took a shaky breath and said, “I don’t even feel healthy anymore. I’ve missed meals, skipped workouts, lost sleep. I hardly recognize myself.”

And the hardest part? “The business isn’t even profitable. I’ve been to every industry event, listened to every expert, worked myself into the ground to be ‘successful.’ But the truth is…I don’t even know what that success is anymore. I thought success was the number of members I had or how well my team kids did at competitions…but none of that pays the bills. None of it gives me my life back.”

It was a moment of brutal honesty. For years, she had poured herself into a version of “success” that had left her drained, burned out, and doubting whether any of it was worth it. She said, “I feel like I’ve wasted my time and my career. Like I was climbing this ladder, only to find it’s up against the wrong wall.”

And that's a WRAP!
