If you grew up in the ‘90s, this is about to hit you right in the childhood feels:

Pizza Hut’s BOOK IT! Program is back!

A brand new generation of emerging readers can sign up for the “Summer of Stories” program that rewards reading with personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut—just like we used to love.

The only difference (and sorry, Elder Millennials/Millennials/GenXers, it’s kind of a big one): There are no giant buttons with gold stars to be had this time. The program will be operate digitally through the BOOK IT! app.

Kids can earn one pizza per month for completing a monthly reading goal, just like we used to. You remember how extra satisfying that little cheesy goodness was because you earned it for reading a Beverly Clearly chapter book, right? I sure do.

Plus the whole experience brings back a nostalgic piece of our childhood, and I’m always in favor of that. A spin through the comments on the BOOK IT! post will put you right back in your 4th grade brain, and craving your own pepperoni pizza.

Just one suggestion for the BOOK IT! bosses: let the parents sign up too (and please consider bringing back the giant buttons?). We’d be first in line to enjoy the experience with our kids, guaranteed.

National Infant Immunization Week is here—an ideal time to make sure your child is up to date on all recommended vaccinations.

Immunizations are essential for protecting children from serious illnesses such as measles and pertussis. The Morrow County Health District is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of your family by providing access to recommended vaccines.

We offer free immunizations for eligible children through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program and accept most private insurance plans.

To check your child’s immunization status, please call our office and ask to speak with one of our nurses. If your child is not up to date, we offer immunization appointments every Tuesday. Our nursing staff is available to guide you through current recommendations and answer any questions you may have.

Call us today at 419-947-1545 to schedule an appointment.
