Last month, McLaughlin Private Wealth was proud to be the golf cart sponsor at the Abdominal Cancers Alliance golf outing at Waverly Woods Golf Club in Marriottsville, MD.

Michael McLaughlin, CFP®, CEPA®, CRPS™, RICP® and Meaghan McLaughlin Reid, CFP®, CPA were a formidable team on the course. Linda L. McLaughlin, RICP®, who serves on the Abdominal Cancers Alliance Board of Directors, supported the event by connecting with volunteers, sponsors, golfers, and abdominal cancer survivors throughout the day. Despite the threat of rain, it was the most successful outing to date!

The Abdominal Cancers Alliance works to raise awareness, connecting patients and caregivers with resources, education and support for rare and advanced abdominal cancers.

Your instinct in a downturn is probably wrong. The smartest move is often the one you don’t make.

Over 250 years ago the Declaration of Independence was signed here – in Philadelphia.

There's something special about being just a short drive from where it all began at Independence Hall. It’s a reminder to those of us who live in or near Philadelphia of the great history this region carries and the words that started it all 2 ½ centuries ago that still guide so much of what we value today.

Thank you to all of those who have given so much to uphold our American values and remind us of why our country is worth celebrating.

We're pleased to welcome Gavin McGovern to McLaughlin Private Wealth as a Private Wealth Paraplanner!

Gavin first joined us in 2024 as a Strategic Initiative Intern, spearheading a large-scale project for the firm. He returned in 2025 as a Private Wealth Management Intern, working alongside our client service and advisory team while taking on special projects. At every step, he brought a level of commitment and professionalism that made him a natural fit for our team.

A 2026 graduate of Saint Joseph's University with a major in finance and a minor in economics, Gavin earned Dean's List honors multiple semesters while tutoring fellow students in calculus. He also planned and led a charitable golf outing for his business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, benefiting children undergoing treatment at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the kind of authenticity we value at our firm.

We're glad to have him on board full-time and look forward to the contribution he'll make for our team and our clients. Welcome, Gavin!
