We are proud of the legacy built over more than three decades and grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.

Your instinct in a downturn is probably wrong. The smartest move is often the one you don’t make.

In periods of volatility, the families who fare best are usually the ones who stay committed to their financial plan anchored by their time horizon, goals and cash flow needs. They resist the urge to react. They lean on a strategy built for uncertainty.

However, there are times when adjustment might make sense:
- A major market shift may warrant changes to plan assumptions.
- Tactical changes such as rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting or other opportunistic moves could be beneficial in certain circumstances.
- You experience life changes perhaps impacting your goals and capacity for risk.

Whatever the reason, discipline is key. Our team closely monitors market developments alongside every client’s plan, watching for moments that call for action vs. staying the course.

What would your plan tell you to do right now?

Estate planning isn’t just about transferring wealth. It’s about transferring clarity, protecting family relationships, and preparing the next generation for the responsibilities that come with wealth.

That takes intentional planning. At McLaughlin Private Wealth, multi-generational planning is what we do best. Thoughtful trust structures, strategic gifting, business succession planning, and a long-term vision for how assets will support future generations can all be part of the mix.

Building wealth takes decades. Losing it can take one generation without a plan.

Is your next generation ready to take the reins and steward all that you’ve built?

The best client relationships are built long before important financial decisions ever need to be made.

For Partner & Private Wealth Advisor Meaghan McLaughlin Reid, one of the most rewarding parts of the profession is seeing clients leave a conversation feeling more confident, understood, and at ease.

Wealth management is rarely just about numbers. The decisions involved are often personal, emotional, and tied closely to the people and priorities that matter most. That’s why meaningful planning starts with listening, understanding, and building real relationships over time.

At McLaughlin Private Wealth, we believe clients deserve a team who knows them, understands what matters to them, and are committed to guiding them through every stage of life with care and perspective.

Over 250 years ago the Declaration of Independence was signed here – in Philadelphia.

There's something special about being just a short drive from where it all began at Independence Hall. It’s a reminder to those of us who live in or near Philadelphia of the great history this region carries and the words that started it all 2 ½ centuries ago that still guide so much of what we value today.

Thank you to all of those who have given so much to uphold our American values and remind us of why our country is worth celebrating.

Investing in our clients starts with investing in ourselves.

This week, Michael McLaughlin attended the LPL Financial 2026 Business Leaders Forum at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an invitation-only event focused on leadership, growth, innovation, and the future of wealth management.

Pictured with Michael are Roger Relucio, CFP®, CRPC™, Managing Partner at Breakaway Wealth Management, and Peter Vincent, EVP, Head of Advisor Success and Field Management at LPL Financial.

Opportunities like this allow the leaders of elite wealth management firms across the country to exchange ideas, learn from their peers in the industry, and challenge themselves to keep growing professionally.

We're proud to bring those experiences and insights back to the clients and families we serve every day.

Many families spend years building wealth, but far less time talking about how it can support future generations.

Legacy, philanthropy, and preparing the next generation to inherit and steward wealth responsibly takes thoughtful planning and open communication. Every family approaches those conversations differently, which is why understanding the people behind the planning process matters just as much as the numbers themselves.

Monica Lupinetti, Partner & Private Wealth Advisor with McLaughlin Private Wealth, shares how relationships, trust and long-term commitment help families navigate those decisions with clarity and confidence.

We're pleased to welcome Gavin McGovern to McLaughlin Private Wealth as a Private Wealth Paraplanner!

Gavin first joined us in 2024 as a Strategic Initiative Intern, spearheading a large-scale project for the firm. He returned in 2025 as a Private Wealth Management Intern, working alongside our client service and advisory team while taking on special projects. At every step, he brought a level of commitment and professionalism that made him a natural fit for our team.

A 2026 graduate of Saint Joseph's University with a major in finance and a minor in economics, Gavin earned Dean's List honors multiple semesters while tutoring fellow students in calculus. He also planned and led a charitable golf outing for his business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, benefiting children undergoing treatment at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the kind of authenticity we value at our firm.

We're glad to have him on board full-time and look forward to the contribution he'll make for our team and our clients. Welcome, Gavin!

The traditional 60/40 portfolio was built for a different era, with alternatives being a niche allocation. Today, for suitable high-net-worth investors, the classic fixed income allocation may no longer be sufficient to meet income and diversification needs.

The current market environment raises questions about the traditional portfolio built on public markets can best position clients to achieve their long-term goals. Alternatives provide access to parts of the economy that don’t trade on an exchange, offering potential for diversification, income, and inflation protection, with return patterns that are less correlated to public equity markets.

As with all investments, alternatives involve risks. However, at McLaughlin Private Wealth, after rigorous due diligence on every private market strategy we consider, they have become a core part of our approach to build resilient, long-term wealth for our clients.
