Just before 1500 hours yesterday, 362 and 363 A Platoon were dispatched to the 600 block of Fellowship Road for multiple reports of a fire in the wooded area.

Engine 3621 arrived and confirmed the report. The crew stretched a 1¾" handline and quickly extinguished the fire. Ladder 3635 arrived and assisted with the water supply.

Once the fire was placed under control, we had the opportunity to help fulfill a lifelong dream of one of our brothers from FOP Lodge 191 . MLPD Officer Bergeson has always wanted to get his hands on a hoseline, so we granted him his wish. The smile on his face says it all!

We look forward to your transfer!. 🚒💦

“When the will defies fear, when duty throws the gauntlet down to fate, when honor scorns to compromise with death — that is heroism.”
— Robert Green Ingersoll

September 11, 2001. Never Forget.

On that morning, thousands of first responders ran toward the unimaginable while millions ran away.

They climbed the stairs knowing the danger. They answered the call knowing there were people who needed them. And when duty demanded everything, they gave everything.

The firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and countless others who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th showed the world the true meaning of courage, duty, honor, and selflessness.

Twenty-five years later, their sacrifice still echoes through every firehouse, and across our nation.

Their courage will never be forgotten.
