Did you know Mt. Oliver is protected by a volunteer fire department?
Our firefighters are neighbors, friends, co-workers, and family members who step up when our community needs them most.
But volunteerism is declining across the country. With today’s busy family schedules, increased training requirements, and an aging membership, our fire companies are being pushed to their limits. And with over 1,000 emergency calls every year, the need for new volunteers has never been greater.
