Day 4 of Housekeeping Appreciation Week: Culture Day! 🌍🍲

Today our housekeeping team wanted to share their culture with us — and they did it the best way they know how: through food!

They volunteered to bring dishes from their home countries, and the whole team joined in. Team members from every department came together, and we set it all up in the lobby. Before long, our guests were joining us too — tasting dishes, asking questions, and sharing in the fun.

Every dish had a story, every recipe came from someone's family, and every bite was amazing. It meant so much that our housekeeping team wanted to open up and share a piece of home with all of us — and that our team and our guests showed up to celebrate right alongside them.

That's what makes this place special. Not just the hard work, but the cultures, the traditions, and the hearts of everyone here.

To our housekeeping team: thank you for inviting us into your cultures and your stories this week. To the entire team: thank you for making today feel like family. And to our guests who joined in — thank you for being part of it. 💙

Day 2 of Housekeeping Week = UNMATCHED vibes! 🧹🎉

We had an absolute blast today at TownePlace Suites Mount Pleasant! Our incredible housekeeping team crushed it—all rooms cleaned by 1:30 PM—which meant the afternoon was ours to celebrate!

And celebrate we did:
🍨 Parfaits & good food
🧺 Towel folding competitions
🛏️ Bed making competitions

The funniest moment of the day? Watching our Front Desk team try to make a bed. Let's just say... they should definitely stick to check-ins! 😂

Leadership got in on the action too and showed off their bed-making skills—turns out we've got some hidden talents on this team! 😏

Best part of all? 100% participation from EVERY department. That's what makes this team special. 💙

We have an amazing week of fun, food, and friendly competition planned — and our guests are welcome to be the judges!

We are also hosting daily competitions including bed-making, towel-folding, and locker decorating. And yes — we are still keeping up with our bilingual morning games to help our team communicate and grow together! 🌎🗣️

This morning, our Spanish-speaking teammate learned colors in English while our English-speaking teammates learned them in Spanish. The laughter, the teamwork, and the willingness to learn from each other was the best way to start the day.

My goal is to end up with a fully bilingual team that can communicate the basic daily needs used in hospitality. And honestly? The team is enjoying it so much that it doesn't even feel like learning—it feels like bonding.

Kicking off Housekeeping Week at TownePlace suites Mt. Pleasant with a focus on connection and communication! 🌎✨

Today marks the start of our Housekeeping Appreciation Week, and we are celebrating with fun, daily activities. This morning, we started our day with a bilingual game to break the ice.

It was incredible to watch our Spanish-speaking teammates learn their colors in English, while our English-speaking teammates practiced their Spanish. The energy in the room was fantastic!

My goal is to build a fully bilingual team capable of handling the basic daily needs of hospitality. Breaking down language barriers isn't just about operations—it's about building a stronger, more inclusive team culture. Seeing the team enjoy the learning process together is the best part of my job.

Happy Father’s Day to the incredible dads on our team here at the TownePlace Suites Mt.Pleasant! Today, we celebrated by firing up the grill and serving up some top-tier steak for lunch. 🥩🔥 We couldn’t have pulled this off without the best right hand anyone could ask for—preparing and plating every meal to perfection. It was a small gesture to honor the big role you play, both at work and at home. We hope you felt as appreciated as you truly are today. Cheers to you!

🎉👶 What a beautiful way to celebrate one of our own!

Today, our Towneplace Suites team hosted a baby shower for our wonderful breakfast attendant. It was a small gesture to show her just how much she means to us — from her warm smile every morning to the care she puts into making our guests feel at home.

Wishing her all the love, joy, and little miracles as she prepares to welcome her newest family member. 💛
