Minimum 2 years OTR or CDL Tractor-Trailer driving experience in the past 5 years. (open to 18 months OTR)
Refrigerated experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Must possess a Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
23-year-old, minimum for insurance.
Must comply with DOT regulations.
Must have a good driving record, with no more than 1 moving violation in the past year, or 3 in the past 3 years. Must not have any DUI/DWI or reckless driving citations in the past 5 years.
Able to drive up to 2000 - 2500 miles per week minimum.
Must be capable to drive both intrastate and interstate.
DOT physical, NIDA-Certified drug screen, and Background check required.

This is a full time, 1st shift position and is responsible for building, repairing and testing high-speed spindles and related materials. The position is responsible for gathering appropriate instructions, parts lists, routings and prints to complete the assigned work. Fischer USA is willing to train the right applicant.

About the Job:

The candidate needs to be a committed, detailed person who has a very strong mechanical aptitude. While generally you will be working alone it is important to also be a team player. You will help support the company’s goals to be the world leader in highspeed spindle manufacture, service and support.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent: Basic vocational / apprenticeship training in the electromechanical field of study is helpful.
Three to five years of on-the-job experience in a precision machining, inspection, or assembly position.
Wil be given specialized training within the FISCHER Group, to include production assembly / repair, repair analysis, re-assembly, and product testing, will be provided if required.
Skills Needed:

Excellent manual dexterity.
High Mechanical or electromechanical aptitude
Ability to read blueprints and/or drawings.
Working knowledge of inspection and measuring techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair technical problems.

Experience with/knowledge of related tools like manometers, multimeters (V-O-A), flue gas analyzers, temperature sensor simulator-calibrators, multi point temperature recorders, specific gravity meters, air velocity meters.

Advanced mechanical problem-solving skills

Ability to independently manage schedule and keep client information/paperwork organized

Valid and current driver’s license
