The Lab Technician is responsible for test support in the design and development of the company’s product and technology. He or she will be responsible for a broad array of tests, from research and developmental testing to full-scale product level validation testing. The Lab Technician will require a high degree of self-management. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering. The qualified employee must possess a minimum of the following listed skills.

Job Duties:
- Capable of assembling/disassembling electronic and mechanical equipment that is the core HTI product
- Electronic component replacement by hand soldering, including tiny surface mount devices
- Execute product short- and long-term durability testing to standard procedures on in-house test stands
- Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and product testing trials of varied content
- Capable to use oscilloscope, digital voltmeter, soldering tools, plumbing tools, hand and power tools, mechanical and electrical power controls such as precision valves and power supplies
- Document, organize and analyze test data in spreadsheets
- Write and modify test procedures as required while maintaining document revision control
- Maintaining test equipment both mechanically and electrically. This includes troubleshooting and replacement of mechanical solenoids, piping, and electrical relays, interface cables, network connections
- Communicate test results to stakeholders including engineering and customer service daily using video call, in person standup meetings, and written communication by email
- Maintain and control onsite inventory of electrical and mechanical MRO supplies, and product for testing
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed. Maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Curiosity for learning and adept at mastering complex operations or procedures
- Travel requirements 10-15% to domestic customer locations to support testing and evaluation trials
Minimum Skills:
- Associates degree (or working on degree) in electronics or mechanical. BS degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with electrical and mechanical production testing or maintenance
- Excellent collaboration, partnering and communication skills, both in person and virtual through video conference (MS Teams, Zoom), and chat tools such as MS Teams, Slack, and Quip
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to meet competing demands
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team setting that is fast-paced and deadline-oriented
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
