ExperShare – WorkSpaces: The Only Co-Working Business in Siskiyou County.
Four years ago, ExperShare, LLC, an IT consulting firm in Mount Shasta, California, funded a startup business in downtown called ExperShare – Workspaces. After two years the new business proved to be not only profitable, it proved to be a necessary community resource. Necessary, because it provided affordable individual temporary office spaces, conference rooms, and unlimited internet all at affordable rates to a customer base of students, schools, companies of all sizes, non-profits, and tourists (from all over the world) and family members needing a place for a variety of family business tasks.
After eleven years, ExperShare, LLC has lost its lease and will need to relocate at the end 2022. As a result, we will need to move to a new location that will best accommodate ExperShare’s core services. Prior to Covid, our client base stretched across the United States and Europe. We will be working to regain that business.
Unfortunately, our WorkSpaces business will be left behind. Rather than sell off the assets, we are looking for an existing non-profit that will be willing to take over the business and manage it within their business plan and scope. ExperShare is willing to donate all of the assets (e.g., furniture, technology, customer data, and business knowledge that includes transition assistance) that we have accumulated.

🌲McCloud’s fascinating history is rooted in the timber and railroad industry dating back to the late 1800s. The company town was established in 1895 by the McCloud River Railroad Company when the founders purchased struggling mills in the area and named it the McCloud River Lumber Company. The homes were steam heated and electricity was supplied by the mill. When your faucet leaked or a light burned out, you would just call ‘Mother McCloud’ and a crew would be over to fix it for you. Those days ended in 1963 when the U.S. Plywood Company purchased the mill, the railroad and the town. McCloud was privatized in 1965 and the mill closed for good in 2002 because the timber industry had fallen on hard times. Because of its interesting architecture, the beauty of the surrounding countryside and unique local attractions and festivals, McCloud draws tourists year round now! HISTORIC DUNSMUIR was established in the late 1880’s when a rail line was built through the upper Sacramento River Canyon. The town was originally named Pusher because extra engines were needed to push the trains up the steep canyon, but was changed to Dunsmuir in 1886 when Canada’s Alexander Dunsmuir visited and fell in love with the town and promised to build a fountain if they were to change the town’s name. You can see that fountain at the entrance to the Dunsmuir City Park! In the early 1950s, Dunsmuir was the largest town in Siskiyou County. Today people come from everywhere to fish the Sacramento, check out the waterfalls nearby and explore the charming historic district downtown. Dunsmuir is home to the Siskiyou Arts Museum and great restaurants. While remote working in the area, be sure to take some time to explore this quaint little town just south of Mount Shasta!
