Due to new snowfall and freezing conditions, our Mt. Vernon office and scale will be closed today, Thursday December 30th, and therefore not open to the public.

We are also closed tomorrow for the New Year's Day holiday.

Due to weather conditions and to ensure the safety of our employees and customers, we are closing our Mount Vernon yard to the public and will be closing the offices by 3:30 PM. We are very proud and excited to congratulate our own Octavia Lutgen for winning first runner up in the Trashion Show at the 19 Annual Raise the Roof Auction for Habitat for Humanity Whatcom County. Octavia is the Scale House Attendant at our Ferndale recycling location and created her Lumberella gown with recycled lumber wrap and even sourced the material for her crown and jewelry from scrap aluminum cans, metal and zip ties. Congratulations Octavia and thank you for bringing your creativity and passion for recycling to everything you do!
