WHY DID IT BRING $800? 🤔🥤

For a cooler measuring only about 11" tall and 14" wide, that's quite a result!
So what helped it get there?
✔️ **Coca-Cola has a huge collector following.** Vintage Coke advertising has been collected for generations.
✔️ **It has great visual appeal.** The classic red finish and Coca-Cola script make this an instantly recognizable display piece.
✔️ **Size can actually be an advantage.** A smaller advertising piece is much easier for a collector to display than a full-size cooler, vending machine, or sign.
✔️ **Age and character matter.** Collectors aren't necessarily looking for something that appears brand new. Original wear can be part of the appeal.
✔️ **The assorted vintage bottles complemented the cooler** and made for an eye-catching lot.
✔️ **Online bidding helped us reach the collectors.** With specialized pieces like this, finding the right audience can make all the difference.
There's also an important lesson here:
**OLD doesn't automatically mean valuable, but don't assume worn-out means worthless either.**
💡 SELLER TIP:
Be careful about "fixing up" vintage advertising before selling it.
Repainting, polishing, replacing parts, or aggressively cleaning an original piece can sometimes hurt its collector appeal rather than help it.
When we're dealing with old signs, coolers, thermometers, clocks, displays, or other advertising pieces, we'd much rather see them **before** someone tries to restore them.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is leave it alone and let the collectors decide what it's worth.
