Another behind-the-scenes look at harvest season at Tulip Town!🌷

Our team has been hard at work over the past few weeks harvesting bulbs from the fields, display gardens, and other areas throughout the farm. Next up is bulb sorting, where the bulbs will be cleaned, sorted, and prepared for storage before planting season returns this fall. We’ll be sharing more of that process soon, so stay tuned! 🌷

A Bite of Skagit

I first ventured into Cocina Sabores a couple of years ago after dropping my car off at the Mount Vernon Les Schwab on West Division. It was getting on toward noon, and I was looking for something quick and easy for lunch. What I discovered was quick and amazing.

Pictured here is their chicharron prensado quesadilla. I thought I knew what quesadillas were, but Cocina Sabores reset the bar for me. If you need a good reason to "cross over the bridge" to Mount Vernon's westside, I can hardly think of a better one. The Rosales family would certainly appreciate your patronage during the bridge's partial closure.

The west side bridge is now down to one lane, but traffic is moving quickly and smoothly🚦Make sure to continue supporting the downtown and west side businesses during this time!
