Signups will be closing at the end of the week to allow enough time to acquire supplies. Lisa Pomeroy with All My Felted Friends will take you through the process of creating your own delightful felted creature that you get to take home with you along with a needle kit that will be provided. In case you missed the Artist Reception two weeks ago, here are a couple photos of the event, artist Shirley Kaye Perkins, and some of her family and fans. Shirley Kaye's work will remain on display through the end of June and are a delight to see. We will even get out the UV black light so you can see them in their full glow effect! Craig and Emma are the first to complete one of my 4 week Beginner Stained Glass classes. Craig made a stunning cardinal and Emma a lovely Lily of the Vally panel. Both are first-timers working with glass, cutting, and soldering and are looking forward to me starting up more advanced classes. I learned that I over estimated the capacity of the room and will be limiting attendance to 6 for a while. I'm glad I only had two sign ups for this, my first session. May/June beginner's class is already full. I will be announcing Summer workshops her in the next several days.

I just finished a 20 sided die to be auctioned at this year's Familiarcon 2026. Roll play gamers recognize the 20 sided die as one of the most favored and utilized dice of beloved fantasy games such as Dungeons & Dragons. The 20 sided dice is commonly used to roll for hit chance, damage, saving throws, etc. Familiarcon is a 3 day gaming convention in Mount Vernon, Ohio, organized by Rodney Monday of Find Familiar Games. Familiarcon will be held at the Eastern Star Gallagher Center May 29 - 31st. Public is welcome.

Join us Saturday, May 2nd, as we kick off a special exhibition by our featured artist Shirley Kaye Perkins and Lisa Pomeroy. Serenity and Simple Imagination will showcase recent works by these two artists and will be on display through the end of June. Sculptor Grag Stadler will demo his process with a 3D pen. Music on concert harp, piano, and violin by Alexi Penko (La Musique). Food will be catered along with refreshments.

Doors open from 5 - 8pm. Parking in municipal lots after 5pm. 14 E Gambier St, Mount Vernon, Ohio

Mom's, looking for a fun activity to do with your kids? Or Father's, need a heartfelt gift for mom? Just in time for Mother's Day, Payal Saxena will have a workshop where you can decorate totes together.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a fun, hands-on creative experience designed for moms (or dads) and children under 10. In this interactive workshop, each mother-child duo will work together to design and build a one-of-a-kind stamp using mini canvas, twine, and hot glue (with moms assisting for safety). Once complete, kids can take the lead in bringing their designs to life—using fabric paints to stamp unique patterns onto a canvas tote bag.

Participants will leave with a custom-designed tote and a memorable shared experience. No prior art experience needed—just creativity and a willingness to have fun together!

Join Gallery on Gambier artist Vicki Moon Spiegel Wednesday, May 6th, from 3 - 5pm. Two hours of colorful spring bird mixed media painting. Be brave and have fun, unleash your creativity, and leave your inhibitions at home. We will create postcard sized pai ti gs, using a mix of watercolor, gouache, and casien paints.
